LibreOfficeReviews of libreoffice.org

Libre office is said to be free. WhenI try to download it it either costS £3.79 or won't download unless I make a donation. How is this free>

Super annoying! It does have some of the MS look though old fashioned, but it behaves completely different, in a very unpredictable way. Layouts constantly change unintended, tables behave like a fancy layout in stead of a real table, the help is complete worthless. Very disappointing. The only reason to consider it, is because it's free.

Libreoffice is a plague, a fungus, a self-spreading fungus that interferes with your files, owns your files, makes them unreadable if you save them in Word and put them into a computer that has no Libreoffice, turns your file into 'read only' turns your thumb drives into "cannot eject, unmount..." , suddenly tells you "You have no right" to edit your own file. I removed this plague from my laptops several twice but I have this odt files that I need to open. You save your file into text only and nobody can read it. I've put in WIN and in MAC and in MAC lynux is the same plague demented controlling program. Interface is ridiculous, spending half an hour to find a basic feature.

Libre Office is a nightmare when it comes to constructing tables and formatting. If you try to modify or delete rows, it will change the whole table and move all text into different rows. This thing is extremely whacked out and user UN-FRIENDLY. Stay away from this application.
