Still Happy: Follow-up After 6 months of use...
Lever was just what I needed as a one-person HR department, trying to make things more efficient for a company of over 200 employees. Previously, I would receive resumes and referrals from several different sources--LinkedIn, college job boards, employees, forwarded emails from others involved in hiring decisions. Lever was immediately helpful in funneling and attributing everything to share with appropriate parties. It was also useful in that we had been using Google calendar/email/forms for the scheduling and feedback process. So having this further integrated in a single platform (and syncing properly within the Google suite) was perfect. Interviewers love that the feedback form retains what they're typing between drafts. They love that they can see other interviewers feedback after they've completed their own. And I appreciate that this functionality (of writing feedback before seeing others' feedback) is available for purposes of resisting group-think. I love its integration with Slack since this is our most used tool. It's helpful that employees can receive alerts through slack about their upcoming interviews, as well as reminders to complete feedback. This cut out my work in having to follow-up numerous times with employees (which became difficult to do as our interviews/interviewers increased). Those involved in the hiring process love that they can dip into the pipeline or get high level views as needed--without having to ask me for updates. Recently, Lever released new privacy settings to further customize what different access tiers can see. This has helped immensely since, previous to this release, once a candidate received an offer their profile became blocked to certain access tiers. I still have much to learn in terms of the reporting side of the tool, and the updates they'll be rolling out for boolean searching. I didn't get the full intro to the reporting tool during implementation--largely because I didn't know what questions to ask until I started using Lever more. But now that I have received a designated CS person, I'll be asking away. I've had very positive experiences with my designated support so far. She has been enthusiastic, eager to show me new features, and has even been apologetic when it took some time for me to receive designated support. (There was no need to apologize as Lever's generic support email alias was always prompt and helpful). The one thing I hope will be available in the future is some kind of 'turn off' button on syncing emails. During the implementation, several candidates were imported and with them a large number of emails (largely from when they were hired and receiving numerous calendar events). I couldn't load their profiles, or delete their email address from the profile because it would stall. The Lever support team was able to do this from their end; but I wonder how many others run into this issue. All in all, I'm a very happy customer, and couldn't recommend Lever more highly!
