I ordered and paid for a pair of prescription sunglasses. I was told that it could take up to 2 weeks. Now 3 weeks later no sunglasses.

I did not want to leave a complaint…
I did not want to leave a complaint here, because I know NOONE is reading them but I have tried to call the corporate office on several occasions and there is no operator to help callers. So, here is my story. ---
My husband was just diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. 2 weeks prior to that his vision went blurry, when he previously had perfect eyesight. So, we went to Lenscrafters to get contacts/glasses. During the first visit we attempted to tell the doctor about the diabetes and how sudden the change was, but he did not seem concerned and said that his eye problems were likely not caused by the diabetes. When my husband left, they gave him a pair of contacts that they said were "close" to his prescription. He could not see out of them; they were blurry and the doctor said it was because they were close and not exact. Exactly one week -to the day- they called us and said his glasses were in. He was so excited because he has been unable to see for close to 4 weeks. He went to pick up his glasses and he still couldn't see! So, the Doctor took him back to redo his exam and the doctor told him that his eyes went from a +1.25 to a +4 in one week. We know this cannot be true because even the "close" contacts were not close. The Doctor made a mistake. This series of events did not surprise me because the doctor was not listening to us at all he seemed to be just going through the motions. (He also took a smoke break between clients.) The second visit was even more strange, because the Doctor appeared intoxicated; he seemed to have trouble standing and was wobbly, using the wall to hold him up as he went out for another smoke break. The receptionist at the desk told us that there used to be a female Doctor there, who they begged to stay on contract due to being unable to find a replacement. She said the female doctor agreed to stay, but now will not show up to work or answer phone calls. Also, one of the floor guys who helped us with our glasses was more interested in a football game he had playing on his phone with headphones than he was in helping us; he rushed us through the whole process. When we went back yesterday we found out the sunglasses that my husband wanted they COULD do after this guy told us last week it was impossible because he was too busy to really look it up. We have spent over $2000.00 with u in the past 2 weeks.
The girl we delt with yesterday and the Desk Girl Rachel were amazing and both need a raise. They are the only two people that gave a crapt!
I would like someone in the corporate office to email me about this. This location on Airport Blvd. in Mobile, Al is not professional. The only person in there that had a good attitude was the receptionist, Rachel, at the desk and it was obvious that she was doing way more than her fair share. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. We'll see how long that takes.

My partner had glasses ordered by her…
My partner had glasses ordered by her parents as a gift on Black Friday for her birthday. She had to wait on confirmation from LensCrafters that they received her prescription from her eye doctor. The timeframe for that exchange of information between LensCrafters and the doctor was supposed to happen within 10 days or else my partners order is to be apparently cancelled. LensCrafters sent an e-mail at the end of LensCrafters' workday to my partner on the 9th day to let her know that they can't seem to get the information. Ok. The following morning, I drove my partner to her doctor so she can get her prescription information. My partner immediately calls LensCrafters, and texts a phone number that was provided by the representative the information that was needed to continue this transaction. The phone representative assured us everything will be okay and that was the end of the conversation. My partner later that day gets an email saying that Lenscrafters still didn't receive information from anyone, and decided to refund the order. Her mom, who wanted to gift these glasses to her has now been refunded. These glasses are now unaffordable and LensCrafters won't honor their end of their advertised promotion. I have never went out of my way to leave reviews for companies but this has been a bad experience. I would not recommend LensCrafters to anyone.

Went to the store in Oakville Place a year ago to get new glasses. $600 and they didn’t sit right on my face almost from the get go. Went back twice for them to half heartedly warm up the handles and “fix them”. They warped right back hours later. The handles snapped off and are now being held together by glue because I can’t afford a new pair as I’m on Disability. Absolute garbage and waste of money.

OVERCHARGE WITH INSURANCE
LensCrafters does not honor sale prices if you pay with insurance, they charge you full price.
Ralph Lauren 5103 frames on sale for $113.50. Confirm through chat representative. Go to use my insurance with $130 coverage, and the price of frames instantly doubles to $227. The chat rep, Tianna D, says "Only one can be used, either the sale or the insurance but both cannot be applied...That is our policy, you get the sale price or regular price through insurance." "Where in writing?" I ask. She responds in "FAQ." I asked for a specific link providing that in writing, she refuses and ends the chat on me. Except FAQ does not say that. Anywhere. What does it matter who pays for it? How do you bill me double for Frames that are on sale and advertised at 50% less? I have the chat transcript....

Waste of time
Waste of time. I have a tough prescription. I showed the prescription up front and asked which groups/brands of frames could accommodate it. I was told to look in an area that was predominantly Oakley. Found a frame, went thought the whole process only to find at the end that the frame would not work. In fact no Oakleys would work. I walked out. Waste of an hour.

Customer service fail
Not the most knowledgeable, I may have had a new employee. Need new glasses, and decided to look elsewhere.
Update 6/9/2023:
Only took over 2 years to get an autoreply link asking about my recent experience??? Lowered 2 stars to 1 star.

Had an appointment with LensCrafters on…
Had an appointment with LensCrafters on 11.5.2021 in Palm Desert (Macy's Shopping Center) at 10:00am I had arrived at 9:30 am, only to be told by other stores nearby, that the Mall opens at 11:00am-I did not receive any other instructions that there is another entrance-
Received by text, that I need fill out medical forms before coming for the appointment-which I am totally opposed to,-I do not want my personal information go public, in which could be used for other purposes. The male clerk could have informed me while I had made the appointment, that there is an entrance in a different location , then the mall. I called back next day, was put on hold did not come back-called back, could not get through-
I had missed mu Doctors appointment, plus LensCrafter has lost my business. Nobody needs by be treaded like this-
