I’ve been going to Lenscrafter’s on 23rd street and Broadway (NYC) for many years. Today I went and scheduled an eye/contact appointment for next Friday. I asked if it’s possible to have a few contacts to tide me over till my appointment . The associate said your prescription has expired , but I explained a script is good for one to two years. The response was you can get some at your appointment . I was very disappointed in their customer service , they could have said can you wait and speak to the doctor and explain what you need. But if I called and ordered more contacts they would have sold them to me regardless of time that has lapsed since last appointment. It’s the last straw for me as they have continued to have poor customer service , you think I would learn. Time for me to find another place for my eye needs.

After 6 months of owning my eyeglasses the anti reflective coating started to peel off. I went into the LensCrafters in the Spokane Wa mall where I had purchased them to see what they could do about it. The manager didn’t want to see them. She just flat out told me that it’s probably my fault and they don’t fix what I broke. I was taken aback and I again asked if they could replace the lenses. I never even mentioned “free” or anything. She turned to me and said, “I’ll now tell you to leave the store”. I was shocked and thought that possibly I was on a prank show or something. She even called for back up from store employees and they sat there staring at me while I explained my story again. Then she said that if I don’t leave she will call mall security. I left. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any customer service from any business, at any time in my 64 years!

My online shopping experience with LensCrafters.Com is actually one of the worst I've ever experienced. I ordered contacts, and glasses. Two separate orders because that was the only way I was allowed to use my insurance for each purchase. My contacts came and they were the wrong prescription. I called, started a return process. But because I had used my insurance on those, I was unable to purchase a new pair with my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket. I also purchased glasses. Nice ones. Michael Kors. Was very excited for them. Instead, I was sent some man's Ray Ban prescription glasses. Again, I called, returned them, asked for mine to be replaced. A replacement order was initiated, and then three days later, I get an e-mail saying they don't have the prescription for my glasses. Despite me having uploaded it and sent it in multiple times for the original order. I attempted MANY times to upload through the website, but none of the pages would load and allow me to upload. I was offered no compensation, no discount, nothing. I was still charged for my glasses (it's been 25 days since my original order - I still dont have them.) And I can't use my insurance anywhere else because I used my allotted benefits at this stupid website.

Ordered online Rx glasses and after spending $416 came in with wrong Rx. Glasses sent are wrong Rx and cannot see with them. Customer service is poor! Out $416 and I do not recommend LensCrafters’s online!!!

I ordered frames and lenses online, which was an ordeal in and of itself. The customer service reps can't be operating in real time; I got multiple emails saying that they hadn't received my prescription from my optometrist when the office faxed and emailed the prescription three times while I was standing there. I waited two and a half weeks for my glasses to come and when they arrived they had a completely different frame than what I'd ordered (I ordered a pair of Oakley Socket 5.0 and received Oakley Airdrops), the lenses were blue-light filtered (I never ordered those), and the frame was so warped that I couldn't even put them on my face. The local associate was very cool about it all, straightened the frames, and helped direct me to online returns (because apparently you can't return something in-store that you bought online, w t f). I got home and decided to try them and see if I could make them work, but the lenses were also nothing like my prescription and gave me an almost immediate migraine. I was completely unable to focus on the letters on my computer screen. I contacted the online returns center and was told that I could ship the glasses back and they would process my refund, but because I'd used an FSA card it would take 6-8 weeks to process my refund. I've sent the glasses back and who knows when I'm going to get a refund for them; I'd love to have that $700 to buy some glasses from a decent place but I guess we'll have to wait and see. tl;dr - incompetent customer service and borderline predatory return policies ensures that I'm never giving them my business again.

I bought glasses at Lenscrafters a month ago but they still haven’t made them . Now they rudely say they don’t know if they can even make them due to shortages on lens material. Why didn’t they say this when I ordered them?

If you are in need of glasses avoid LensCrafters at all costs. They took 400$ from me. Said transaction didn’t go through and post to their journal despite it posting to my bank. I still haven’t had success getting the money returned. My bank has reached out to them yet no credit returned. Their local store manager wrote their corporate office 2 letters and numerous emails. This has been since 11/12/2021. Buyer Beware!

The LensCrafters in Depford Mall is terrible company. I am unhappy with their service. I had an appointment at 1 and was not seen until 30 minutes later. No explanation as to why they were running late. Then was told extra test were required at an extra charge of about $50 that had to be paid up front and would not be covered by my insurance. Upon checking with my insurance company they said those test were not required. When I decided not to pay it I was treated rude and rushed through the process. I work hard and have very good insurance. I feel like it's not fair that I was not told they do not take one of my insurances when they were presented. All they seem to be focused on was getting me to pay money up front for things that should be covered by my insurance. The doctor was not nice either he would ask a question and moved on to the next question before I could answer the 1st question and they had the nerve to send an email with my next appointment for next year. They have got to be kidding me. I will never be back. Taking my business and insurance elsewhere suggest others do the same.
