I would give no stars if I could. The worst customer service and the worst quality home I’ve ever seen. I’ve had to pay thousands of dollars to fix things that Lennar refused to take responsibility for. Please do not make the same mistake.

Don’t buy these POS houses.
There are a lot of annoying things wrong with our home, the alcove for the fridge bows out because they didn’t fix the wall properly, the mud work is shotty at best, and the counters peel away at the corners. We’ve only been here a little over a year and honestly we hate it. The fire alarms are in the worst possible spots and go off for the literal tiniest thing, which is horrible with a newborn. The builders left trash all inside of our walls which we found out when we had to patch a hole behind the door. The caulking along the baseboards look like a toddler did it, and they use the cheapest flat paint they can find, no use trying to clean anything off your walls cause you’ll just remove the paint.

Lennar Tillage Farms
I recently bought a home in Tillage Farms in Texas. Looking back, it should have been a red flag when I went in two days before Thanksgiving to close and it felt like we were being herded through the process like cattle through a chute. The title signing was honestly the only positive experience I’ve had with Lennar, and everything has gone downhill since.
After moving in, I discovered an undisclosed leak that caused water damage to the master bathroom cabinet. About a week later, I experienced a sewage backup (thankfully not inside the home). Even though I reported it before 6 p.m., Lennar refused to send anyone out. After waiting and debating for four hours whether to call a plumber myself, I received a call from Ben saying, “No one was available to come out.” The following day, I was told the issue wasn’t a “whole house problem” and was supposedly localized—according to Ben. I’m still trying to understand how a sewage backup can be considered localized. A plumber didn’t arrive until 1 p.m. the next day.
On top of that, I’m dealing with an ant infestation, and it’s been extremely difficult to get anyone at Lennar to help with anything at all. Even something as simple as getting trash cans has been far more complicated than it should be. Their claim that “you will be surrounded by a team” is a gimmick and honestly a joke—they disappear before you even close on your home.
I hate that this was my first experience buying a house. Lennar clearly does not care about their homes or their buyers. To top it off, they couldn’t even find the keys to my home for over an hour when I went to pick them up after closing.

Do your research as Lennar is low quality
Our experience with Lennar has been extremely disappointing. From the start of the home-buying process through closing and move-in, we encountered numerous issues that have yet to be resolved. While we initially overlooked poor customer service and communication, these shortcomings have now resulted in serious problems. We have had issues with the Lennar mortgage not making property tax payments on time, title transfer not happening correctly,
and unresponsive and ineffective customer service.
Once the sale closed, the agents who assisted us became unresponsive, and other representatives have provided little to no support. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.
Additionally, Lennar’s decision to build directly behind our homes has significantly impacted our privacy. This section is now the most congested part of the community, and neither the HOA nor Lennar has addressed our concerns despite repeated inquiries from multiple homeowners.
We would recommend that prospective buyers speak with current residents and explore other communities before committing to Lennar.

Avoid Lennar if at all possible!
We just bought a new home from Lennar and loved it from the start. Upon moving in, we found out a few lies that were told about amenities, lack of quality build, cheap appliances and terrible warranty. First of all, when looking to buy, we were told about certain things like “The Club” and retail shops in the community and so on. Well, these don’t look like they are happening.
The quality of the build itself is below average. I guess you should go over with a fine tooth comb on the walk through prior to closing and be ready to not have everything corrected by closing. If it isn’t perfect, I would say walk away. Windows spaces were all different sizes, fuse panel panel breaker kept tripping, garage door track not aligned, poor interior paint job, missed paint areas, and so on and so on. They also provide the cheapest appliances they could put in. They may look decent but they are cheap. Be prepared to upgrade them very soon.
Also, once moved in, be prepared to submit warranty claims. However, also be prepared to wait more than 2 weeks to get anything done, if at all. Customer service reps for the warranty are terrible and can’t schedule things correctly. First after a week or so from filing the claim, a virtual call comes to “troubleshoot” the issue then you have to wait a week or so to have a rep come out. If you have another choice of builder, I would suggest looking at them and staying clear of Lennar.

I recently purchased a home in The…Collection at Hopewell in Pennington
We recently purchased a home in The Collection at Hopewell, Pennington, NJ. While the house itself is well-built, I am very concerned about new homes being constructed extremely close to existing homes, including mine.
When we signed the contract, we relied on the community map provided by Lennar, but it did not clearly show the proximity of neighboring houses. Additionally, our sales representativeTJ, did not clearly explain or point out that the next house would be built right next to ours. Now, with construction underway, the very close spacing significantly impacts privacy for our family. Several of our neighbors are experiencing the same issue, which suggests this is a broader community concern.
I recommend that prospective buyers carefully review lot spacing, side setbacks, and privacy impacts before purchasing. Specially one they are building at Fred clark street.Lennar should improve transparency in their marketing, maps, and communication, so buyers fully understand how close neighboring homes will be.
We tried contacting the builder, but nobody response back

False advertising
In the process of buying a home it was a three-car garage and right 2 days before closing. Doing the walk-through notice that they didn't include a garage door opener or a light above the third car garage and they did a complete bait and switch on me and would not include a garage door opener like it's the 1940s. Nobody was able to help me and even their contract document does not state that they are not going to include these items. They just decided not to install them and said that's just what they're doing.

Do not buy a Lennar home
Do not buy a Lennar home. We have had 3 issues (so far) that should be covered by the home warranty and each time Lennar has done nothing and said it’s correct.
1. Our electric dryer kept tripping the breaker, we put in a claim and Lennar sends someone out who says it’s a new outlet they used and it’s not their fault we have to modify our dryer. Had no issues with the dryer at our last place
2. We cannot charge our car even though house came with an electric charger! The outlet was out in upset down so the cable could not reach out, Lennar sent someone out to fix the outlet. Electrician let us know the cable doesn’t work with the outlet and they would escalate to Lennar so we can get the right part. Lennar says the problem has been resolved because the outlet was fixed and we have to buy a new cable. It’s ridiculous they ordered and installed the wrong stuff but somehow we have to come out of pocket to fix it?
3. Been in the house since May, never had any rain until this week and noticed our back yard was flooding because the drains aren’t working. We have to have flood insurance because apparently we are in a flood zone so you would think Lennar would want to fix this right away, nope! We submit the claim and once again Lennar deflects any responsibility. They claim the drains are a new kind and don’t actually drain during the rain instead it’s after it’s stopped they are supposed to work.. if you are confused that makes 2 of us! So they put drains in a flood zone that don’t work when it’s raining, yes makes sense. Instead they say we might have to get hardscaping done to minimize the problem! I just don’t understand why they couldn’t inform us of these “special drains” during our house walk through so we were aware. I am so tired of their horrible customer service and lack of problem solving.
I am beyond mad at them for never acknowledging their issues and refusing to fix it. Everything is placed back on the homeowner. I will never buy another Lennar home and will be telling everyone to stay away!
