I purchased a home that has Leaf Guard gutters. Since I've been here, I noticed two issues, or spots where the water was not going into the gutters. A rep from Leaf Guard came out and informed me that since his company did not install the gutters, they would not honor the lifetime warranty. So if you get Leaf Guard, hope that the company stays in business or that another company takes over the territory and will not honor your lifetime warranty.

We had LeafGuard installed and, like a previous client we have a roof valley. To prevent overflow they installed an extra downspout by the front door. We needed to divert the water the entire length of the front of the house, they didn’t have enough drain pipe with them at the time, so, water had to drain into ground next to the house which was next to our lower level. Before they came out to extend drain, which was a week, it rained! Water came into house ( we’ve live here 40 years, no water) soaked carpet and pad. LeafGuard denies any fault for this. Product may be good but service and accountability are horrendous. Buyer Beware!

LeafGuard doesn't work if your roof has a valley. That corner always overflows in heavy rain. They installed a small protection barrier after I complained. That doesn't help either.

I own a single story brick ranch home in Troy, Michigan. My house is surrounded by about a dozen large trees. Being a senior citizen, I became tired of cleaning out my gutter system two to three times a season. The risk of falling off my ladder became a major concern as well. I had a screen type system installed by another company and found that after one season the screens were clogging and not allowing rain water to flow through my existing gutters. After some research and actual customer referrals I was convinced, LeafGuard would be my choice. I got an estimate and purchased a LeafGuard gutter system. Having spent my working career in Engineering, I was impressed with all the proprietary LeafGuard gutter features. From their continuous no seam gutters, the attaching method used to the actual design of the gutter. The additional features like the baked on non stick enamel finish to the over sized down spouts sold me on their system. I can stay after years of enjoying non clogging gutters, thank you LeafGuard. It's rare today to find a company that stands behind their product. Leafguard's warranty is one of the finest I've ever encountered over my (72) years. Since my system has been installed I've only had two minor issues. LeafGuard sent out their installers within two days and made a couple minor adjustments to my system. I found the entire team "first class", from the initial sales person Tom, to Terrance the local manager to Adam the east coast regional manager, plus Mike and Dan the installers. I did call to get the free quote and when I got the follow up call I was badgered about a spouse being home to at the same time to go over everything..I responded that I was the one making the decision and spending the money but this guy was only concerned about if my spouse was going to be home...So to business owners let me explain something .. it's not advantageous for single women to always let on who is in the home as a form of protection..so if you don't have enough time to answer follow up questions from potential customers (that's what the guy kept saying and would not move on) then you're too busy for my money and if you're that interested in whose in my home then maybe your up to no good ..you're the one I'm protecting myself from. I'm absolutely not interested in your business and I hope others take heed.

Just had them removed. You still have to clean them or the water won't flow into the gutter. You need to have shingle overhang they require. The installed was bad. It had a reverse slope and it drained water in between the gutter and the fascia. Fascia rotted and took out some soffit. I expect they would work if installed correctly and they are close to the ground so you can clean them.
