The chanterelle is a two story cabin at the Laural mountain retreat. It was clean and cozy. It has all the necessities for sheltering in place. It setting it peaceful and relaxing, seemingly away from everything, while being 5 minutes from Weaverville and 15 minutes from Asheville. Our cattle dog loved it too. Plenty of space to walk and a large field to fetch her toy. Looking forward to visiting again.

The cabin was great. I stayed in Red Bird for a week and found it peaceful and close to everything I wanted to do in Asheville and surrounding parks. My dog really enjoyed it as well.

The stay was excellent. Kathleen was very responsive if we had questions. The property is very quiet and the cabin is just lovely. The hot tub and the fact that they are dog friendly were wonderful! You won’t be dissappointed by staying here. It’s very close to grocery stores and also the quaint little downtown area but far enough away to feel like you are away from it all.

The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating especially with our pets. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was spacious and had everything one would need. The hot tub was very nice and super clean. Location is close to multiple grocery stores and minutes away from Asheville. Close enough to civilization but feels far away. Kathleen is great!

This was our second visit at Laurel Mountain Retreat and I trust it will not be our last. The cabins are clean, spacious, and charming while the setting is beautiful and peaceful. Kathleen has done an excellent job making Laurel Mountain a home away from home. Close to Asheville with great restaurants and the Blue Ridge Mountains for great hiking, our travel here was well worth it.

Cabin was a perfect stay for a weekend away! Kathleen was an amazing host and does a great job at leaving the cabin ready for your arrival. Plenty of dishes and cookware to use. The hot tub was clean and ready. Cabin is 10 minutes from Publix, Walmart & plenty of restaurants/fast food. Be advised that there is the possibility of bears roaming about the property and the backyard is not fenced-in in any way. However, we would definitely choose to stay here again!

My husband and I were beyond impressed by the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any family. Everything was only a 20 min drive and there is a local Walmart just a few minutes away. This was a perfect get away and I will definitely return in the near future.
