Laurel Mountain RetreatReviews of laurelmtnrt.com

Loved the cabin, rooms are quite small as well as the bathroom but very rustic feel. Extra washcloths would have been nice since we were only there two nights and didn’t have time to mess with laundry. Very clean. Hosts were great.

Excellent, cozy cabin for a romantic getaway. We loved the location close to shops and restaurants and downtown Asheville. I had a remarkable experience and enjoyed the hot tub. One thing I must note: We were very adamant about keeping the cabin as clean as we received it so I was very surprised when Lisa contacted me to admit she rented me a mattress with a urine stain. I would encourage visitors to check the mattress upon arrival and document the state of the bed and other linens. Nevertheless, I still look forward to staying at the Evergreen Cabin again and bringing my kids next time to enjoy the loft.

Nice location. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. Gas fireplace was nice when the weather got colder. It’s a two story with both bed rooms and the bathroom downstairs. The Wall mounted HVAC is kind of loud and constant downstairs. That being said. We would still return and stay there.

Loved the cabin; however the view, WELL? (looking at a old junked abandoned car and discarded building materials)

Nicely appointed cabin. Clean upon arrival. Easy access from highway while still being isolated. Could have supplied more paper products for kitchen & bathroom. Consider some type of "caution" signage upstairs right before the staircase. Having to remember that the floor was on two levels before the staircase was an inconvenience, especially when having to use the restroom at night, which is downstairs.

The Red Bird Cabin is a beautiful place for a get away. It not only is adorable, but has a home like feel that would make everyone feel comfortable. The check-in process was very simple and everyone was communicative. I had no questions and was able to enter the cabin with ease. I also enjoyed the blue binder that provided me with all the information I may need for my stay and the instructions outside near the hot tub to show me how to maintain it and keep it clean. The cabin also felt very private even though you could hear your neighbors. The cabins are close together and the echos from the mountain were the cause of that though, no one was rowdy or loud all very respectful of one another. You feel very safe. The only reason I would give my stay a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the mattress. The queen size bed did comfortably fit my partner and I however, it is very soft, squishy, and you really sink into it which caused some sleep issues during my 5 nights stay. I would recommend all of my family and friends to visit these cabins and book a stay. We had a really great stay and amazing experience.

My husband & I traveled from PA to help with a few days of help with the disaster relief efforts. We got in around 3 am Sunday, unloaded our vehicle & went to bed for a few hours. In our delirium we did not notice the mini split on the lower level so it was a cold night of restless sleep. We took to room next to the bathroom - the bedroom is a bit small for a queen size bed & the tv mounted on the wall as it is - there was a bit of acrobatics required to get out of bed in the middle of the night if you’re the person sleeping against the wall. Space for clothes for two people was a bit snug as well - my clothes ended on the floor due to the limited space. Hanging of wet items (towels, washcloths, bathing suits) was another issue we faced during our stay. Other than these issues, the owners were great & very accommodating, even giving a discount for helping with the relief efforts. The cabin is very inviting, tastefully decorated, and the hot tub was a welcome relief after days on our feet.

Great customer service! Easy to check in and place was very clean. Only downside was that the bedrooms are very very small. It was difficult to fit 4 adults comfortably.
