Kait
Not my favorite AirBnB
Our cabin was not very private. A rock road that kicked up a lot of dust with quite a bit of traffic for a back road. The place has European Hornets, we got stung 4 times while there. The sink in the bathroom does not provide much water so we brushed our teeth in the kitchen sink. They do run on well water, which I’m personally not a fan of due to smell and sometimes the water is brown after any rain. If you expect to do any baking, bring your own muffin pans/butter/oil. You can get into town quickly for store runs, but we had already been 3 different times gathering food/ice/medication. We travel a lot and use AirBnB quite often. This is a cute cabin and the owners will quickly respond, but not one I would recommend. This trip was for my 30th birthday and our 2 year anniversary so if you are celebrating milestones, I would spend a little more and get something a little nicer. Just my opinion!

We are sad to hear the cabin did not meet your expectations. Wish you would have contacted us about the hornets so we could have taken care of it right away. The property is treated regularly for bugs, bees, etc however, keep in mind it is on 17 wooded acres so there will be things like this that come up and need to be addressed as they occur. Each cabin has a first aid kit as well. As we informed you, our well water is tested monthly and runs through an elaborate filtering system. Regarding not having butter/oil, like most vacation rentals we do not provide perishable items. We would have been more than happy to address your specific questions prior to your arrival to allow you to better prepare for your stay. This cabin is at the corner of the entrance to the property so it would see slightly more traffic than the others that are further up the private road and therefore more secluded.
