LaserAway’s priority is revenue over results.
I visited LaserAway for hair removal to my bikini line. I’ve had laser removal in the past, around 13 years ago: so with a far less sophisticated laser than the equipment available today. I purchased a 6 session package from the West Hollywood branch, and was given 2 additional sessions for free. I then moved home, so all my treatments have taken place at the Santa Monica branch on Wilshire. In all honesty, I had better results from the laser used on me over 13 years ago. I get the sense that the technicians at LaserAway don’t increase the laser for each session so that you’re encouraged to spend more money to complete your treatment. I know this for a fact, as I asked the technician at the start of each session if the laser was being increased, it wasn’t. My suspicion was further confirmed when I asked two other friends how their treatment had gone. They both said the same thing. Now admittedly, everyone is different and results will vary from person to person. However, the fact I had to argue with the technician that not all women are made the same and that the ‘bikini-area’ goes beyond 2 of her (skinny) fingers distance from your actual bikini line, only feeds in to my conclusion that LaserAway’s priority is revenue over results. For context, I am by no means super hairy and wasn’t in any way asking to have an unfairly large area treated. I’d paid to have my bikini line treated, but feel like I’ve thrown away my money and will need to go to another company for proper treatment. Don’t waste your money here.
