just a big scam
Laseraway just a big scam. Had 7 hair treatments so far, still have all my hair but don't have $3500 which I wish was used to buy something more useful. A big disappointment

Please read before considering Laseraway for any treatment. Laseraway advertises a service called "CoolSculpting" as a cosmetic service designed to enhance your appearance by freezing pockets of fat in your body. Sales representatives/nurses did not provide adequate information about the risks of such a procedure, and did not inform me that I was not a proper candidate for the treatment, which was made wholly evident by the fact that the machine could not even adhere to my body and I was asked to hold it in place, which is not standard. I was also in an excruciating amount of pain and informed the nurse, who told me this is normal. The result of the treatment was permanent disfigurement caused by Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia, which causes a reactionary response to the body that thickens and expands fat cells rather than reducing them. There were significant and obvious abnormal appearance on the areas of treatment, my upper and lower abdomen. There are pockets of fat the size of a fist protruding from my body, and a "ripple" like appearance on my abdomen, which was formerly symmetrical and smooth. I contacted LaserAway and I was examined by a nurse, who did not take my complaint seriously even though she agreed that the appearance was abnormal. Rather than diagnose me with PAH or intervene further, she simply told me to purchase a massage device to "smooth it out." This disfigurement has impacted my mental health and has been detrimental to my relationships, my self-image, caused shame, among other things. I developed depression and an eating disorder in an attempt to try to make the fat "go away." I contacted LaserAway, and after going back and forth I ended up speaking to their legal counsel, who flatly denied that LaserAway holds any responsibility, and told me Allergan does. Allergan's consumer affairs representive then told me that the "treating facility" is responsible and it is in their contract with LaserAway. Any conversation with their legal counsel was useless and frustrating as she refused to even consider LaserAway's culpability and kept saying "Allergan" and changing the subject in a condescending manner rather than respond to my complaint about LaserAway. She could not even engage in a conversation about LaserAway's responsibility and has attempted to make this serious matter "go away" by simply ignoring the problem. This is what happens when a company becomes completely profit-based. There is no concern or care for consumers, and actual harm is being caused without any offer of remedy. In effect, I paid LaserAway thousands of dollars for a treatment designed to enhance my appearance and ended up permanently disfigured. I paid LaserAway to disfigure. This is the very definition of fraud. Please protect yourself.

Very professional but makes you feel comftable and at ease the moment you arrive. Iv only had one session so far but I can’t wait to see my results, For a home set up it doesn’t feel like your at a persons home atall. It’s done out and feels completley like a clinic environment !

I ended up choosing this place for coolsculpting (out of other cheaper and closer options) and was very disappointed with the results. My initial consultation went great, they were very friendly especially when you’re a potential customer. They told me I would not need another session and I would be a great candidate after examining me.I can ended up biting the bullet and moved forward with the treatment in the stomach area - I did 4 panels with the “core” size. Fast forward 3 months later (waiting sufficient and the recommended time to let my body heal) I saw zero results and I am out over $2000. I went back for an “after pic” since they told me to come back 3 mons later to prove that I did not see any results and they confirmed that was the case as well. The branch said it was out of their hands and would have to wait for a call from corporate. I later receive a call from Katrina Valladao from corporate and she basically told me there’s nothing they can do because it was in the consent formed I signed when I paid for the treatment. There’s also “no one else” I can talk to and that she was “the end of the line” - her words. I had picked this place even though it was more expensive because I thought with their reputation I would be in good hands and in case I needed help with anything for my treatment they would be more willing to work with me. This obviously was far from the fact and in reality they were quick to brush me off and just kept slapping the papers in front of you that they have no responsibility whatsoever. In the phone call she asked me to walk her through the process, I said they marked where they were putting the applicator and they applied the applicator - she goes oh okay it definitely sounds like the protocol and they did everything right. She said as a courtesy they can offer me some store credit which is a small amount compared to how much I spent for nothing. I can only get that small amount of store credit if I signed a form that release my right to any claims “forever” from agents, employees, successors and assigns, insurers, and all other related persons or entities liable or who might be claimed to be liable. This is laseraway guys, make sure you never have any issues with your treatments of any kind because you are on your own and will only talk to one person who is the “end of the line” because there’s “no one else”.

The sales process is extremely misleading. They do not tell you that everything is 100% non refundable. They also are extremely deceptive with what they say during sales. My sales lady told me the pain for brazillian laser hair removal was a 0 out of 10… I have done waxing my entire life and although it’s uncomfortable the pain is manageable to me. Sales literally convinced me this would be way easier than waxing so I gave in. My first session was absolutely horrible. The pain was excruciating. I had to ask the nurse to stop after 30 seconds. I was not warned that this would be so painful. I cannot fathom having to do this 8 times over again. I asked for a refund and then I find out it’s non refundable… Really disappointed. I don’t mind paying a lot of money for a service I’m just angry that I was mislead into thinking this would be a walk in the park. Had sales been honest and realistic with me I would not be so frustrated and disappointed. I wish I would’ve read these reviews before going. I figured since they were such a huge business they would have my back and refund me if I couldn’t tolerate it. I mean I could literally be having a health reaction to the laser and what they would still expect me to pay for all my sessions?? Ridiculous. Now I’m stuck paying $2k to experience human torture.

I have been going to LaserAway in Los Angeles on Robertson for a few months now and I can't tell you how happy I am with the team. I have had laser hair removal treatments, Botox and the Clear + Brilliant treatment and am over-the-moon happy with the results. I have been doing laser hair removal for a few years and I am SO impressed with LaserAway and their team. They are super quick, friendly and offer experts in this field. Parking is not an issue with tons of parking available and I am also not shlepping through a huge multi-medical building to get treatments. it's one stop shop for all of my skin treatments. I have spent years going to a plastic surgeon for botox and while I love the plastic surgeons work, I always came out a touch bruised as surgeons are so meticulous yet a bit less gentle. I have had the opportunity to do my botox at LaserAway and what a treat...I didn't feel a thing and am super happy with the results. I am forever a botox fan at LaserAway. Going into the Clear + Brilliant treatment I a little skeptical, not sure if it would actually work for my skin issues. Boy am I glad I did it. I LOVE this treatment. Its a very easy and pain free (for me) treatment with literally 0 downtime. So obviously I am a HUGE LaserAway fan!!

Got a small leg tattoo blur on my second laser hair removal appointment and showed my third appointment technician, who confirmed that it was, in fact, caused by the former laser appointment and the ill placement of tape that barely covered the tattoo. As I was rightfully a bit dissatisfied, she encouraged me to bring it to Laseraway’s attention having spent several thousand dollars with them... I brought it to the attention of the front desk lady, who filed a note for me. Shortly thereafter, the technician Tanya questioned me on it, heavily insinuating I made up the claim, telling me it would’ve been exceptionally painful and blistered badly had it truly been caused by their lasers. She tried to make it sound like it was just the tattoo aging process, despite this being the only tattoo affected or even remotely blurred, having before and after photos, and it being a fairly new tattoo at less than a year old. I was told that a nurse would evaluate, and Megan Martinez was in touch shortly thereafter. She requested photos, which I sent, and I was told she would help come up with a game plan to correct the mistake. When she called me, however, she was immediately extremely disrespectful, accused me of making it up, gaslit me about the issue being caused at my own negligence, told me she wouldn’t be able to help me because it wasn’t their fault, and in no way offered any kind of support or solution... She spoke down to me and basically told me she didn’t know how I had messed up my tattoos but she was 100% certain it wasn’t their fault. She told me that she and Tanya shared the same opinion on the matter, despite me explaining what the other technician had already confirmed to me. She basically told me to take it up with my tattoo artist and that they wouldn’t do anything for me at all. At the end of the day, I was looking for a small, but appropriate, solution to a small issue, but now I have become very disgusted with the mishandling of this situation and how I was treated, especially after spending so much money and time here.

I came for a another provider where I was getting good results. I switched because they were have a crazy sale. I bought full leg, underarm, full face, neck, brazilian, and areola. Except for my legs, which were new, I have had very little results. Despite my knowing the laser level at which I was successfully treated, they insisted that they had to follow their safety protocol and start at the very lowest setting. I complained that all treatments prior to reaching my known effective level would be a waste of my time and money and asked for a refund. They refused and said that if I was still unhappy at the end they would make things right. I have complained multiple times of the lack of consistency between nurses and lack of hair removal. I have gotten to the end of my package and their solution is to give me two free treatments. This is their only offer. Do not go here. Their laser does not perform as well as ones that I’ve had before and their attempts at resolution pathetic.
