Disappointing
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Kyte. I made a reservation over a week in advance, expecting the car to be delivered to my home as promised. However, right before my scheduled pick-up, I was informed that they couldn’t deliver the vehicle. I ended up having to take a $25 Uber to their lot, which was far from my home. Once there, I had to wait an additional 40 minutes before getting into the car—this was a one-day rental, and every delay was cutting into our plans. Because of the morning delays and confusion, we had to cancel one of our reservations, resulting in a $100 loss. In total, I lost $125. When I escalated the issue to customer service, all they offered was a $50 app credit, which is frankly insulting. They seem more focused on getting customers to make future reservations, rather than making things right. This kind of behavior feels like they’re protecting their topline revenue rather than providing good customer service. I won’t be using Kyte again. If they can’t manage their logistics, they’re no better than the traditional rental companies they claim to be disrupting. Beware if you’re considering using Kyte—it’s just not worth the hassle.
