I changed this review from the original one as my issue was resolved and Kuru did in fact replace my shoes. I originally liked the shoes, I had an Achilles injury and they actually helped. But I only had them a few months and they got these stains that kind of leached out from the leather trim on them. I had taken the care instructions seriously, I hand washed them. I even reached out to the company when my shoes were virtually unwearable with gross yellow stains from the leather. They told me to use baking soda or vinegar to clean them and it actually made it worse. I sent them pictures of the shoes and explained that they were worse. They basically told me to have a nice day and they appreciated my feedback. I think if you’re going to charge high end prices you should provide high end shoes. These shoes are not high end. You are paying too much for a lower quality product. There are other companies out there like HOKA that make a high quality shoe and they will stand by the quality. Such a disappointing experience. UPDATE 8/15/2024 I received the response from Kuru and complied by sending all information they requested the next day. They have not responded as of yet. I am curious if they will as I have read other reviews that indicate they seem to respond on social media but never to the person for a resolution. I am curious if the responses on here from them are all for show , but we will see. To be continued… UPDATE: 8/20/24 I was sent a replacement for the shoes that had the issue with the staining by the company. My initial frustration was resolved as they did actually listen and provide an alternate pair of shoes as a replacement. Once I got in touch with the right people they were extremely responsive and understanding. My only feedback would be that the initial contact with customer service was not as responsive and I think a lot of frustration could have been avoided if my initial contact was better. That is the only reason for the 4 stars. The person I dealt with that handled and resolved my issue was wonderful.

I bought a pair of shoes and they were quickly delivered but they are too long for me. It's written on their website that it's easy to return or exchange with the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number so that convince me to buy it here. But ever since I received the shoes I tried to contact them (mail and directly on the website with the return policy) to get that number and it was difficult to reach them (about 9 days). I finally had a contact today by message and they look helpfull. I hope the exchange will be easy to do. The quality seems great, I'll see.

6.14.24 update- I finally got my shoes and... they were worth the wait. Customer service finally touched base with me, and made efforts to get me my order ASAP. I was skeptical because the delivery updates were the same as before however this time the shoes DID arrive at the specified time. I have to say that I LOVED the shoes out of the box. The fit is amazing and the comfort level sublime. I have bunions so I ordered the wide. These don't look wide but they feel roomy, yet supportive. We all have bad days, so whatever mistake they made I'd in the past. I have my shoes now and their my new favorite pair. I'm talking serious comfort and support. If I'm going to complain it's only fair to praise if it's earned. Unless their quality goes down, they have earned a customer for life. They sent me an alert saying my order would arrive on 5.16. It's now 5.22 and I haven't heard a peep from them regardless of the multiple emails I sent asking for the status as their website still says my shoes will arrive on 5.16. I tracked the package and it's been to Canada, Seattle, Georgia, Seattle, then back to Canada. Now it's back in Seattle when all it needed to do was go to Portland. I'm not sure who to blame but it would be nice to get an actual response to my inquiries. Instead I feel like I'm being taunted. I've wish they said they'd get here in July because then I wouldn't get my hopes up. Instead they're just yanking my chain and leaving me hanging. I hear they're comfortable shoes but I sure as hell wouldn't know. And Kuru, please do not reply with apology on here. Too little too late. 5.26 update: I got an update saying the shoes would arrive Friday, 5 24 by 7pm. Even UPS's website said they'd arrive by then. Guess what? They didn't and it's back to square one. UPS took down the estimated delivery date and Kurus website still says it will be here last Friday by 7pm. I haven't canceled my order but instead bought some AMAZING HOKA's! They were shipped within an hour of my purchase and they leveled with me and said they might not be here until the following Monday, although I'm certain they will arrive prior to the Kurus. Does kuru even actually sell shoes or is it just a scam to get our credit info? I'm expecting them to say "we apologize but that model has been discontinued. We will issue you a refund at the end of May....2025". Sorry for being so cynical but I can't fathom how the shoes have been sent everywhere but here. They're currently in Seattle but I bet they'll go to Canada first and then back to Seattle at least a few more times. If they know there was a labeling problem then recall that shipment and fulfill our orders correctly, instead making their problem ours. That's what a customer centric company would do. Until then, try HOKA'S. They're comparable in price and 5 stars for comfort and performance and customer service, although I've never had to use them. They have their 💩 together! HOKA'S FOR LIFE!!!

Ordered a couple pairs, 1 Quest, 1,Tread. Both were a bit small, I am a size 8 and a bit wide, so I did a happy return, which was extremely East and fast. They didn’t have one size up in Quest, but they did send a Tread in a 9, and fits perfect. Very nice looking shoe, well made, and extremely comfortable. Also received it in 3 days. If they had more of the ones I wanted in my size, I would definitely buy them. I see some bad reviews here , but I had a great experience with them. I recommend you try them.

My Kuru experience has been good. I initially ordered two pairs (Quantum and Chicane) and returned the Chicane--I didn't like their fit or appearance. I kept the Quantum. My feet sank into the shoe as promised by Kuru, and now they are very comfortable. I took Hoka and the Kuru shoes with me this summer to Alaska (along with high boots). The Kuru shoes became my everyday shoe when I didn't have to walk through water. They were more sturdy and gave more support across stones than the Hoka shoes. (I love Hoka and wear them most of the time at home.) The only Kuru Quantum drawbacks for me are (1) the advertised black/charcoal actually proved to be black/midnight blue--but I receive compliments on these shoes; and (2) they are warm to wear--I live in a hot climate, where the Hoka shoes are cooler. I just ordered another pair of Kuru Quantum shoes today (tungsten/ cardinal color), while my first pair still looks and wears like new even after hard use in Alaska.

Hello fellow foot pain sufferers! I’m a 54 year old male, 5’9” and weigh in at about 210 pounds. I have a neutral gate with very slight pronation. My shoes wear mostly in the middle heel and middle of forefoot. I was walking for health about 3-5 miles a day (at a 15 minute mile pace) on mostly flat paved community paths and mixed in some uphill inclines from time to time to get my heart rate up. I normally wore New Balance 420’s. After about 4 months my feet hurt. I started feeling a burning pain on the medial side of my left heel But below my Achilles Tendon. I began to stretch my calf’s and my plantar fascia although it didn’t feel like that pain on the bottom of the heel typically associated with plantar fasciitis. I stopped walking and went to an orthopedic MD. My foot structure was ok and he gave me pain killers/ anti-inflammatories. Didn’t help. I bought OTC insoles, minimalist shoes, pads, nothing helped that much. I went back to the Dr. and he did a ultrasound and said I had developed plantar fasciitis. More meds and they didn’t help. Pain began to feel like typical plantar fasciitis. I bought and started wearing crocs in the house and also added Heelthatpain heel cups and that began to help. I started internet browsing and stumbled upon Kuru’s. I’m a cheap SOB but I decided to drop the coin on the Atom style. I started wearing them but wore them to much as they were uncomfortable at first. I lessened the wear time and they began to mold to my feet and pain seems to have been reduced by 80%. Yay! Although I am not walking the miles I was walking before, these shoes feel ok and are holding up. Craftsman ship seems ok. They fit to size or a sliver big but I would order the size of whatever sneaker you are currently wearing. I am ordering another pair tonight. Why not 5 Stars you ask? If I tie them tight which feels best. The plastic near the big toe puts too much pressure and becomes uncomfortable.
