Regarding the pump, what you’re experiencing can sometimes happen due to air pressure build-up during transit, which affects how the product dispenses. Usually, a quick reset can fix it, but I understand that can still be frustrating. Sometimes the air pressure inside the bottle needs a little nudge. Try lightly tapping the bottom of the bottle on a flat surface a few times; that usually gets the pump going.
