Re: Kingsyard 12 oz tray hummingbird feeders with ant moat. I have tried several different types of HB feeders and these are the best! I've had them for several years and the birds love them; they don't leak; and they haven't attracted bees or wasps like the bottle styles did. They are easy to keep clean, and I can see when they're getting low on sugar water. I hang one near my rear kitchen window and another outside of my front windows (so those tiny bullies each have their "own" feeder), and I can see the birds even if they land on the far side, since the feeder has a low profile. The company provides good customer support the few times I had a question about the feeders. I have rigged a DIY "canopy" over them to keep the sun and rain off of them. I see that some folks have been unhappy that it is difficult to carry a full feeder from house to yard without leaking. My solution: after cleaning the feeder, I carry out the empty feeder and hang it up, leaving it assembled but not closed. I then use a measuring cup with a spout to fill the open reservoir and then press the top down to seal it. If I happen to spill a drop or two, it just lands in the grass and not on my kitchen floor.

They advertise as rain proof. That may be true as long as the rain is soft rain and no wind. BUT… in Florida when the rains are coming in sideways or even just a heavy downpour the water gets inside and all the feed develops into a big cake block and you’ve lost all that food. Not As Advertised. Wouldn’t buy again. And, oh ya they’re really hard to clean. Very disappointed.

I had a defective glass jar for the squirrel feeder. The company, after sending the a photo and my proof of purchase, replace the unit at no cost. Great company for its treatment of customers. They will flourish. I highly recommend them.

I bought 2 of your hummingbird feeders. Both have the same problem. You can't fully screw the hooks into the ant moat. They make a loud screeching noise when you turn them. I used pliers to try to get it screwed in and even then it would not finish screwing into the part. I bought the pretty pink flowered one and have to return it. Please have your quality control people look into this design issue . Very disappointed. I was hoping the 1st one i bought was just a fluke but the 2nd one had the same issue.

I ordered a bird feeder which wasn’t a good fit with the rain and the water here. So they send me a return label that cost more than the cost of the bird feeder. These people have terrible customer service. I will never buy anything else from them.

I decided to feed live mealworms to our bluebirds this year because I learned that dried mealworms were dangerous for the babies. It may dehydrate them and I wasn’t going to take that chance. This was a perfect solution as the bluebirds and the smaller birds like the tufted tit mice and the Carolina wrens can get into the caged feeder easily, but the larger birds like the robins and mockingbirds cannot. The live mealworms cannot climb the side of the glass bowl. I liked the feeder so much that I ordered another one for the front yard. We have bluebird houses in the front and the backyard. I like to keep the feeder within easy access to the bluebirds, but not too close to the bluebird houses as they don’t like to draw attention to their houses. I highly recommend the KingsYard caged feeder for smaller birds and especially for use with feeding live mealworms.
