KingArthurBakingGifts.com is NOT part of King Arthur Baking. I'm unsure how they set this up to look authentic. Before I gave my card info for a wildly low sale price for a mixer the site advertised on Google, I reached out to King Arthur Baking's customer service department who confirmed the BakingGift isn't legit.

The King Arthur Baking company's customer service is outstanding. I ordered some boiled cider and was concerned by how long the order took to get here because it's perishable. When it finally arrived, it was hot to the touch and that concerned me. They offered to overnight me a new one just to ease my worries. Not to mention, the person I spoke to was so down to earth, understanding and genuinely nice. What a difference from Amazon or another giant online store.

Last 2 Christmases I got a debit card for King Arthur Baking. I have ordered several of their box mixes, and they have all been awful over the last two years. The common thread seems to be either old mixes or their baking powder is insufficient or old. Yellow cake, didn’t rise. Chocolate brownies - made the cake style, didn’t rise and I even cooked them 10 minutes extra than the longest cooking time. No it is not my oven. I am an expert Baker and everything else I do from scratch or mixes comes out perfectly. The focaccia bread came out like flatbread. Only the pie crust was usable, but had to be rolled too thin just to make a top and the bottom crust. I’m going to try making their chocolate chip cookies and orange cranberry quick bread next. However, no matter how they come out I’m not ordering anything else from King Arthur. The mixes are expensive and you have to put practically everything in except the flower in the salt. Even the brownie mix contained no chocolate chips, no syrup, and no nuts. It’s like they’re saying “let’s make chocolate chip cookies” you bring the nuts, the eggs, the butter, the chocolate chips, and here’s a box of flour.

I placed a large expensive order. I needed to make some things for church Social. The Irish soda bread was absolutely horrible and I followed the directions exactly. I made the eggnog cake and I could tell by the box that it was very old, the cake did not even mix it was so lumpy. Then I made the yellow cake with the chocolate buttercream frosting the frosting was so black but it didn’t even look chocolate it tasted well but it was lumpy and hard to mix and the cake like the eggnog cake was lumpy and did not mix even with my standup mixer. All the items were horrible. I also have bought five boxes of scone mix and some biscuit flour which I imagine I will just throw away based on the other things. They are overrated than their items are trash. They don’t mix well they sent old things and I did send them an email asking for a refund because they guarantee 100% but I sure doubt that they will give me one. I would not buy anything from them because they are overpriced and their items are old and bad. Just get a Betty Crocker cake mix and use regular white lily flower and you will be doing much better

This company is top notch. Their Customer Care not only hears, but LISTENS! I had such a compassionate response and resolve to my issue today that I was astonished by it. I HATE to see these ROTTEN reviews. This company does not deserve this. I’m surprised to see this done to a company on Trustpilot. They have quality products and employees to match. I would give them 10 STARS if I could!

Why does King Arthur have such terrible reviews on this site? I just had such a positive experience with customer service that I felt compelled to write a review (I was actually looking to leave a Google review), when I saw this. I called about an order I placed in which I neglected to apply a coupon code. Even though it was too late to adjust my order, the customer service agent immediately offered to apply a refund in the amount of the coupon to my account. I love everything I buy from this store, and I've never had a problem before, so this is my first customer service experience. In this awful customer-unfriendly world we're living in today, where companies you buy from don't care whether their customers get good service or not, it was a PLEASURE to get an actual human on the phone, who spoke native English, was polite, professional, helpful, and concerned. AND solved my problem. Thank you, KA!

Do not buy from this company! Placed and order to later find out it is coming from 3 different location with 3 different delivery dates. No communications regarding split shipments, what specifically is coming which day, etc. Hard to plan baking around all over the place ship dates! I will never buy from them again! Customer rep had no explanation for this happening. Told me it wasn't his job to figure out shipping!
