Literally felt like burning money. I installed my whole house with hardwired smoke alarms connected to the ring app. I was promised reduced false alarms and the ability to turn off smoke alarms from my phone. The systems frequently alarm dust/clean and THERE IS NO WAY TO SILENCE FROM THE APP. I also learned post buying them that there is an ADDITIONAL $50 fee to run it with the ring app. Plus no way to actually silence it on the app (so what am I paying for?!). I spent multiple hours on costumer support trouble shooting and I am coming to a conclusion that this company is a scam.

Produit défaillant (low batterie) à pein 4 ans après la date d'achat, pour un produit supposé être garantie 10 ans. On vous demande une preuve d'achat pour faire jouer la garantie comme si quelqu'un gardait un ticket de caisse 10 ans !!! Cette garantie ressemble plus à un argument marketing qu'à une réelle garantie.

We had smoke/ CO2 alarms installed in a new house. The first week we had a false alarm about 3 a.m. We have been in the house for 4 months and alarm has gone off 8 times...always in the middle of the night. Last night it went off with a Clean the alarm message...at 3:30 a.m.! I emailed customer service and never got a response. Terrible product.

I bought Kidde 20SA10 hardwired smoke alarms because the box promises a sealed 10-year battery. One unit was dead right out of the box. Another went into fault mode (3 chirps every 60 seconds) years before that 10-year rating, and I can see plenty of other owners reporting the same failure. I opened a warranty case with Kidde, but they have been extremely slow to respond. Meanwhile I couldn't go without a working smoke alarm, so I had to buy a replacement out of pocket. You pay a premium for the 10-year battery and don't get the 10 years, and support doesn't back it up. I won't be buying Kidde again.

One is giving it too much. I have had nothing but problems with model 20SAR-ca I have two, interconnected, and one always manage to set off for no reasons at all setting the other one off. In the middle of the night or daytime. I am going to disconnect these and get something else. I have had enough!

We've had kidde products ever since we built our house, but since we'd passed the 10 year mark, we were advised to replace them and we did. I bought 5 new combo alarms from 1000bulbs last year, no issues until recently, when one alarm would randomly signal a fire alarm, cleaned it, it kept up, got so bad with the random alarm that as I walking to my tool shed to get a screw driver to cut off that it randomly went off. Customer service was totally useless. They never replied to an email I sent. first call was also useless as I was basically being given a primer in alarm functioning and maintenance. Called back and once I knew the script, cut him off with the answer before he could ask, and finally I am supposed to be getting a new one. I know its 9 more years, but Lord willing I'll never buy from this company again, and I cannot recommend them

The worst alarms on the market. Do NOT buy this product unless you like being awakened constantly in the middle of the night by false alarms. Terrible.

30CUA10-VCA - we have owned the house for 6 years and installed 3 when we moved in. Last year 2 am one went off and triggered all three. Detected CO when there should be no problem. However, went to Home Depot and purchased another 3 pack and replaced in 2025 (still have receipt). So this morning at about 6;30 am again piercing alarm and CO. Had to try to figure out what was going on in what unit. Pressed test button for too long so that led to 10 minutes of silence and then once again they went off. Had to run again to all three floors to press test button - one responded in French so I have no idea if that is the problem child. Reading the instructions you are supposed to test the units weekly? We spend some of the winter out of the house and I can’t check weekly and I don’t want our wall mates listening to a continuous alarm - its not low battery on the lithium, it is a false sensor alarm but the spacing between alarms is long enough that I have to try to remember the number of beeps and how to detect what is triggering the group.
