Inherited CD from deceased relative. Kept in CD until maturity to avoid fees. Unable to move funds to another bank without going into a branch office 3000 miles away to authorize ACH or wire transfer. This bank is living in the stone ages technology wise. Best to keep money in banks that have modern policies. You will have trouble getting your money if you are not near one of their branches.

I'm disabled living in Anderson Indiana and KeyBank's ATM stole $300 from me on January 2nd at 9:23 am. Took money from my account but didn't give me my money. Their customer service told me that they can't do anything about it even though it's their ATM. Don't use them. They are more than willing to steal from the disabled . They are thieves and liars willing to let others suffer.

they froze my account saying they suspect fraudulent activity, days later they sent a letter to go to the bank and open an account and they'd transfer any of my money in first account into new account. I had 30 days to to this and went to the bank on day 14. They bank said there was no authorization even though i showed them the letter. I called fraud and they called the branch which had not reached out to me. I asked fraud can they just open it and they said it was sent to another dept. So, the left hand doesn't know the right had is doing and has no concern of me keeping the account. Is there no good trustworthy banks around ?

Terrible. They can and often do freeze your account for no apparent reason for an indefinite amount of time because they are accusing you of fraud for no reason. My brother died this month and I couldn’t go to the funeral bc Key Bank took my money. I also wasn’t able to participate in Christmas because they took my money. Staff does not care and staff seems almost gleeful that they have ruined my life this month.

Very bad company and operation to work for and banquet

Worst staff I've ever dealt with. They literally called the cops when we were pulling out money to go shopping in Ontario, weed is not legal in Idaho which keybank is on the Idaho side but the Ontario side, it is legal. Anyway I was pulling out money so they call the police and I was pulled over and busted for freaking weed because these humans suck. I cannot stand grown up tattle tales. I mean, really? And the manager at the branch on Eagle and Overland in Boise is the worst one. He literally had other agents call and harass me over a negative balance of $5 when I was going through it, he was gonna call the cops over my cbd pen.. apparently key bank employees are all super against Marijuana, which might, in fact do them some good and improve their petty bs behaviors. That same little man refused to cash a stimulus check from the government and was going to put a 5 day hold on it just to be a jerk and on and on for years. Idk what his problem w me even was as he preferred to act like a snake than a a forward, respectable human being and treat me with some sort of dignity. Seriously. Don't work in customer service if you hate customers like that and think it's your place to be the antagonistic thorn in their side until you've actually chased them off and list their business. They screwed me right before Christmas, quite deliberately one year and I have 4 kids, I am widowed and on a single income and they really messed up bad that year and my kids were the ones that felt that, I get really emotional and have a hard time believing or understanding how everyone that works for keybank can suck as badly as all that and still have any type of customer loyalty or base at all. I will never go back. Forget keybank. Worst of the absolute worst no way around it.

I had to cancel my card and order a new one. The teller just blocked my card, never canceled it and never ordered me a new one. This was two weeks ago. I waited patiently. Called this morning and found our they never ordered me a card. Now they said they'll rush it but that'll take another week. My advice, if you want good customer service don't bank at Key

Do not use KeyBank!!! Go elsewhere. My account was hacked on multiple occasions and I've had to get a new debit card three times. I also deposited a check and was denied access to my money for several days because the back office refused to release the funds. I've called multiple people at the bank and no one will help me including the back office. This bank is unacceptable! I'm closing my account when my funds are available and recommend you guys seek a different bank like Chase or Huntington. A more honest bank.
