Formal Complaint
Subject: Formal Complaint – Unreasonable Delay in Returning My Vehicle / Claim Resolution To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain about the handling of my auto claim following an accident in March 2026 involving a driver insured by Kemper. After the accident, I exchanged information with your insured and promptly contacted Kemper. I followed your instructions regarding where to take my vehicle for repairs and brought it to the body shop you identified. The repair work was completed quickly. However, it is now June 2026, and I still do not have my vehicle back. As I understand it, the delay is not due to the body shop, but rather because Kemper has not resolved payment for the completed repairs. Each time I contact Kemper, I am given a different explanation. Most recently, I was told that your insured has not completed his part of the process, and that this is preventing payment from being issued to the repair shop. This situation is unacceptable. I was not at fault, yet I have now been without my vehicle for nearly three months. I complied with every instruction given to me, and I should not be penalized because of delays between Kemper and its insured. I am requesting the following immediately: 1. A written explanation of the exact reason my vehicle has not been released. 2. Confirmation of what specific action is still pending and who is responsible for it. 3. Immediate resolution of the payment issue so the body shop can release my vehicle without further delay. 4. Reimbursement or consideration for the significant hardship caused by being without transportation for this extended period. I have made repeated efforts to resolve this directly, but I continue to receive inconsistent information and no meaningful resolution. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will consider escalating my complaint to the appropriate state insurance regulator and pursuing any other remedies available to me. I expect a prompt response. Sincerely, Elijah Miranda Claim # 26123527145
