1. They simply lost many GB of files in my Owncloud account they mantained. 2. While trying to fix that, it seems they created a second account (there, I lost many of my files) and started charging me in duplicity. 3. They discontinued the service after two months of the mess they caused and they continued to charge my credit card. 4. There is no way I can delete my credit card from my account if I don´t provide a new valid one. UPDATE – 2026-02-23 After I posted this review, they finally contacted me and arranged a call with a technician, where I was able to explain the original issue properly. Surprisingly, they still had my data, despite previously claiming that the original ownCloud account had been deleted. I was able to recover the majority of my files. However, I was given only a very short time window to download them (24 hours, later extended slightly, totaling less than three days). The server was shut down while I was actively downloading files and performing verification. I was not given the opportunity to fully confirm recovery (apparently due to cost considerations from their side). To be fair, I am upgrading this review by one star.

Would not configure rDNS for mail server on vps. Renders host useless for commercial self-hosted email. Stated a 6000 line custom coded website was a "template" as justification for rejection. After submitting substantial documentation of proof site was hand coded (and under copyright) they went dark and wouldn't respond to tickets. I would avoid this service at all costs. Absolutely not viable for self-hosted service.

My team has been using Kamatera for about 2 years already. The primary reason was cost effectiveness compared to Big-3 Cloud Providers. Recently we have an issue with some of our servers. Initial support via Support ticket was slow - the ticket was acknowledged within 30 mins, the incident subsided, support checked that the incident is not hot anymore and we could not get any further response for a day or so. TBH - when I had billing issues with GCP recently I had to wait several days for any meaningful response. Now the brighter side - when I had another incident and called their Tech support on phone - oh boy - tech support picked up the phone in 30 seconds (!!!) and they resolved my issues within 2-3 mins. I could not actually believe this speed. My further communication with their Account Executive was fantastic and the guy tried to be very helpful. I would say, that you need to understand what you are doing with bare servers, but the price point and the frontline tech support are simply fantastic.
