If you're considering June Homes, my experience was mixed at first. The accounting department was a bit rigid, and I had issues with double charges for the last and first days of the month. However, things improved after that, and overall, the place is secure, and the rent is reasonable. I will continue my lease here and recommend it to anyone new to NYC who needs a shared room at a safe and affordable price.

I had booked one room in a 7 bed 2 bath house for a month long stay. The shared kitchen was pathetically awful, dirty, shabby. They charged me ~2000 usd (incl international & bank fee) for a month. My room was alright but it didn't have a fan or AC even after paying so much. I had to buy my own table fan. They took a deposit of 1725 USD & I got it back after almost 2 months of endless requests & emails. The amount they returned was 1520 USD as 80$ was my electricity bill & rest was bank & international fee according to them. There are better websites to find a short term rentals in Boston. I would recommend using those like Spareroom or rotating rooms.

Hi Rohit, thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to document your experience. We’ve reviewed the full communication and service history related to your stay. Throughout your booking, our teams were actively engaged, including move-in coordination, cleaning follow-ups, maintenance visits, internet troubleshooting with the ISP, and multiple rounds of communication to clarify charges and services. While we understand that some aspects of the stay did not meet your expectations, particularly around pricing, cooling, and shared spaces, we want to clarify a few points for context: • Amenities such as AC or fans are disclosed per listing and lease terms, and availability can vary by room and building. • Internet is billed as a shared utility per the lease, and our team reviewed and confirmed the final charges applied during your stay. • Your move-out report was received, reviewed, and accepted, and the refundable portion of your deposit was processed after standard reconciliation, with deductions explained as utilities and applicable fees. We recognize that short-term stays, especially international ones, can feel stressful when expectations around comfort, pricing, or timing don’t fully align. While we’re sorry that the experience did not meet your personal standards, we do want to acknowledge that your concerns were addressed through the appropriate channels and documented responses were provided at each stage. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We wish you the best moving forward.

Worst rental experience in our lives. There was so much that went wrong that I won't list it all. I sent the entire review to the company's support and they were quite indifferent about it, including their (now ex-) CEO and founder. An obnoxiously tiny, worn down dirty unit in a nasty building. Aggressive sales. Bad service.

Hi Peter, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience felt so disappointing. We take concerns about cleanliness, service quality, and communication seriously, and we regret that your experience did not meet expectations. While we can’t address specific details without more information, we do review feedback like this internally to identify where our processes, standards, or communication may have fallen short. If you’re open to it, we’d be happy to review your experience in more detail. Reaching out to our support team directly with your booking information would allow us to better understand what happened and provide any relevant clarification. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We appreciate the feedback and wish you the best moving forward.

The company is incredibly attentive during the booking process, constantly claiming it is a "high demand period" and trying to pressure you to sign the contract. While this did make me suspicious, I unfortunately didn't trust my instincts enough. The room's furnishing was adequate, but the condition of the property and the furnishing of the common areas was very poor. Almost no cookware in the kitchen, and what was provided was in an abysmal state. The "cleaning" provided was also very poor with only very superficial cleaning having been done. There was supposedly a cleaning done the day after I moved in, but the floor of the kitchen was sticky. They claimed they would organize a makeup cleaning, but while they scheduled it, it kept getting pushed back until it was done on the next regular cleaning date. This cleaning was also inadequate. The excessive fees they charge also add up. I was shocked to see that they charge a full day of rent for the move-out date even though you are required to vacate by 10am. Therefore, you're forced to pay an additional day that you do not get the apartment for, it's the equivalent of staying in a hotel for 1 night but having to pay for 2 days. I definitely would not rent through them again.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that it left you feeling disappointed. We understand how frustrating it can be when the condition of a shared home, cleaning expectations, or billing structure doesn’t align with what you anticipated. Cleaning services are provided on a defined schedule and scope, primarily for common areas, and follow-up or additional cleanings are coordinated when issues are reported. That said, we recognize that if expectations aren’t clearly aligned at move-in, the experience can feel underwhelming, and we regret that this was the case for you. Regarding booking and pricing, availability and rates can fluctuate based on demand, and all fees, rent start dates, and move-out terms are outlined in the lease prior to signing. Rent is tied to the contracted lease period rather than hotel-style nightly stays, which is why move-out timing does not always change the final day’s charge. We understand that this can feel surprising if you’re new to this type of housing, and clearer upfront communication is something we continue to work on. We appreciate your feedback around cleaning quality, shared amenities, and overall value, as it helps us identify where processes and communication need improvement. While we’re sorry that your experience didn’t meet expectations, we do thank you for taking the time to share it and wish you the best moving forward.
