The intake interview went smooth

When I first joined Journey I was…hopeful
When I first joined Journey I was excited and inspired. I thought they are what they say they are. Wow. They offer extensive community and Learning opportunities online and it is quality. However it seems that much of one’s success in providing KAP has to do with one’s ability to market or have clients leaning in this direction. Marketing is not my forte because I have aversion to it. Journey offers tips and encouragement but it doesn’t vibe with me. So in the pay vs earn category, I earned zero paid KAP sessions and invested my monthly dues until I gave up. So in summary if marketing and elevator pitches are natural to you, adding journey might be a lovely addition to your offerings.

Monthly costs are too high
I like the organization and the information I receive. I like being connected to other therapists in this space however I don’t see the value for the monthly membership. I have only ever received one referral from JC. All my clients have been my own from my existing practice. It seems as though I could find a local prescriber to refer clients to receive the prescription and not pay a fee to them. Clients pay for the medical consultations, so I’m not really sure why we are charged so much to be able to send THEM referrals. I am staying only because they have started accepting insurance for the medical consultations which makes treatment more accessible to my clients.

Overall good but could be so much…
Overall good but could be so much better There are so many good things to Journey such as the ease of their website, the trainings they offer, the support documents provided, the community that it offers a space for, and its diversity. However some growth points would be a more sophisticated platform to communicate with the clients treatment team in a more timely manner, a website to provide clients with to search for KAP providers, additional prescribers so wait times are not so long, more of a treatment team approach to care, and more explanation to clients about the process who come through Journey first. Overall I am pleased, I have not put much focus on this aspect of my business so I cannot complain that it has not grown.
