A frustrating experience that finally received appropriate attention
UPDATE 10/6/26: After posting this review, the situation continued. On 10/5, I contacted support again after never receiving the promised escalation call and learned that, despite being repeatedly told on 10/2 that an escalation ticket had been created, no ticket had actually been opened. I had been waiting for a call from an escalation that apparently did not exist. New escalation tickets were created on 10/5. I also exchanged several emails with Patient Experience that day and repeatedly requested cancellation of my remaining six-month commitment and a prorated refund. My medication finally had a shipping label created with UPS on 10/5 with tracking updates citing expected 10/7 delivery (2 weeks after Embody sent the prescription to the pharmacy). On 10/6, Luis from Patient Experience called me. I want to give credit where it is due: he was extremely helpful, answered several questions I had been unable to get answered previously, scheduled a provider appointment regarding my delayed dose/dose increase, and provided a hopefully better contact option for future concerns. During our conversation, I agreed to give Embody another month try before proceeding with cancellation. I believe in leaving ethical reviews, which means I will not delete an accurate account of a poor experience simply because it was eventually addressed, but I will also acknowledge when a company takes meaningful steps to improve it. I will continue updating this review if my experience materially changes. Because of Luis’s assistance and the resolution of the immediate shipping issue, I have increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW - 10/2/2026 Nearly two hours with support and still no answer about my medication I wanted to have a good experience with Embody, but at this point I am seriously questioning whether I can continue trusting them to reliably manage a time-sensitive medication. My prescription was sent to the pharmacy on September 23. By October 2, I still had no shipping notification or tracking information, so I contacted customer support at 6:57 a.m. because I am approaching my scheduled injection and this shipment contains a dose increase. What followed was 1 hour and 55 minutes in customer support chat, and I ultimately left without a resolution. During the conversation, I was told that my medication was still with the pharmacy and had not yet been handed over to a carrier. I was then told Embody’s standard processing and delivery timeframe is now 7–10 business days. When I explained that the timeframe was 5–7 days when I enrolled and specifically asked when it changed, the representative responded, “It was just recently updated.” I was never notified that the fulfillment timeframe had changed. That was especially concerning because Embody’s own website advertises “fast shipping” and states that medication is dispatched from the pharmacy within 1–2 business days following clinical approval. I repeatedly asked how those representations aligned with my prescription remaining at the pharmacy since September 23, but I never received a meaningful explanation. My biggest concern, however, was not simply that a package was taking longer than expected. I repeatedly explained that I was approaching my scheduled dose and asked what options were available to prevent me from missing it. Because this shipment is also my scheduled dose increase, I wanted appropriate guidance about what I should do if the medication did not arrive in time. Despite spending nearly two hours in chat, support could not provide that guidance, connect me with someone who could, give me an estimated timeframe for when the escalation team would contact me, or even provide a reference number for the escalation. I was eventually told there was no supervisor available and that someone would call me “anytime soon.” The most frustrating part is that I wasn’t demanding that a customer-service representative somehow make a pharmacy ship a package instantly. I was asking for accurate information, appropriate escalation, and a plan for what happens when a fulfillment delay affects a scheduled medication dose. Nearly two hours should have been more than enough time to provide that. As of the time I am writing this review, my medication still has not shipped, I still do not know when it will ship, and I still have no guidance regarding my upcoming dose. I have been told only that my concerns were escalated and that I should wait for a phone call “anytime soon,” with no timeframe provided. Regardless of what happens with the escalation from here, spending nearly two hours trying to get basic information about a time-sensitive medication and leaving without answers has significantly changed my confidence in this service.

Hi Jacquelynn, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are deeply sorry for the frustrating and prolonged experience you had with customer support while trying to get critical information about your medication shipment. We understand how concerning it is to face delays when you are approaching a scheduled dose, particularly with a dose increase, and we apologize for the lack of clear timeline updates, the contradictory fulfillment information, and the inability to provide immediate medical guidance or timely management escalation during your chat. Your feedback regarding the changes to processing timeframes and the need for clear instructions during delays is being taken very seriously. We would appreciate the opportunity to look directly into your account status and support interactions so we can address these issues and help ensure you receive the answers and care you need. - Embody team
