Falsely advertise anxiety help, heavy pill pusher.
Doctor's don't listen, push SSRIs, disregard current medications (Increased risk of getting Serotonin Syndrome). They don't listen to your problems and look for a solution. Oh, no, no, they start with the prescription (SSRIs) and work you into the diagnosis.

EDIT: I was able to review your specific case. You were seeking benzodiazepines, which are a category of potent FDA Schedule IV Controlled Medications. While helpful for some situations, they are prescribed sparingly and, given the risk of misuse, addiction, and harm, are only prescribed when specific qualifications are met. You met with two different providers at Blossom who both independently in their medical judgment decided that it would be more appropriate to start managing your symptoms with other non-controlled medications and assessing results before considering a benzodiazepine. We only have your safety and health in-mind, and am sorry you're frustrated you didn't receive a benzo prescription upfront. If you'd like to continue at Blossom, we'd be happy to work with you on managing your symptoms and progressing forwards in your treatment goals. --------------------- ORIGINAL REPLY: Hi there - I'd love to look into this for you. Please DM me your details (or reply to any of the emails or text messages you receive from Blossom). You (and every patient we serve) are always in charge of your health, your care journey, and your treatment. Full stop. No one can force you into doing something you don't want to do. Coming up with the right treatment plan and medication regime is always a collaborative exercise between you and your provider. They'll certainly make recommendations and propose a plan guided by their expertise and clinical judgment of your case, but it has to be one that you buy into. Every medication comes with the potential for risk (which hopefully is outweighed by therapeutic benefit, and risk can be mitigated). If you're concerned about SSRIs and/or about medication interactions that may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome, that's something that should be discussed with your provider. I want to be clear that Blossom and our providers do not "push" medications onto any patient. It's ultimately up to you to decide on the right treatment path in consultation with your provider. Thanks, and hope that all makes sense 🌸
