I had accumulated $137.08 in Abound cashback rewards from 2021–2025. Abound later told me that my 2021–2024 cumulative cashback was issued on January 5, 2025 and expired on January 5, 2026. The issue is that I was not aware of this expiration. I continued to see the accumulated balance in my Abound Wallet during 2025. When I questioned the expiration, Abound told me that an email titled “Expiry of Cumulative Cashback” had been sent to users in November/December 2024. I checked my inbox, spam, and junk folders and could not find this email. I specifically asked Abound to provide the alleged email, the date it was sent, the email address it was sent to, and the exact terms explaining the January 5, 2026 expiration. Abound did not provide those documents. Its final response stated that the expiration was system-generated according to its policy and that the $137.08 could not be reinstated. I contacted Abound and filed a BBB complaint, but the issue remains unresolved. I am requesting that Abound reinstate the full $137.08 cashback balance.

I had a very frustrating experience with Abound and would not recommend using it for an important or time-sensitive international transfer. When I initiated my transfer to India, Abound's app indicated that the recipient could complete KYC and that doing so would allow me to receive a better exchange rate. After I initiated the transaction, Abound told me its policy had changed and that the recipient was required to complete KYC. I requested a refund and followed up repeatedly for approximately 1.5 months. Eventually, Abound told me that a refund was not an option and that the only option was to transfer the money to the recipient. I explained that I had already sent the recipient the money myself and no longer needed Abound to send it. I was nevertheless told this was my only option, so I agreed. The delay caused me a $30 bank charge related to a missed mortgage payment. Abound asked me to provide documentation of the financial loss, which I did. They then offered me $30 compensation—but only as a credit toward a future transfer. When I later tried to use the $30 credit, Abound required me to provide photo ID. I provided it. I then contacted support because I still could not complete the transfer, and I was told that I supposedly have multiple accounts and therefore cannot use the credit. So after a lengthy and frustrating transfer experience, I provided documentation of my financial loss, complied with additional identity verification, and was given compensation that I apparently cannot even use. The issue is no longer just $30. It's the principle and the way the entire situation was handled. If Abound offered me compensation, it should either honor that compensation or reimburse me directly. I should not have to make another transaction with a company I no longer trust simply to receive compensation for a documented loss. I am escalating this matter through consumer-protection channels.

**Extremely disappointing experience — $2,000 stuck for 45+ days** I am extremely disappointed with Abound and would strongly recommend that customers think carefully before using this service for an important or time-sensitive money transfer. I sent **$2,000 to my family for a medical emergency**, expecting the transfer to be completed within the normal 2–3 day timeframe based on my previous experience with Abound. Instead, my money has been stuck for **more than 45 days**. I have contacted Abound multiple times, but I keep receiving generic responses saying that the issue has been escalated or is being reviewed. Most recently, Abound told me that they **attempted to process my refund, but the refund failed due to a technical issue**. However, they still cannot provide me with a specific refund date or ETA. This is extremely frustrating. This is my hard-earned money, and I should not have to wait more than 45 days to get it back—especially when the money was needed for a family medical emergency. I have been using Abound for around two years and initially trusted the company because of its association with the **Times of India**. My earlier transfer was completed successfully within a few days, so I had confidence in using the service again. Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed that trust. I ultimately had to **borrow money from a friend and use another money-transfer service**, and that transfer was completed within approximately two hours. At this point, I am still waiting for the return of my **$2,000**. Abound needs to provide a clear explanation and, most importantly, **return my money immediately instead of continuing to send generic escalation responses**. I hope other customers see this review and understand the risk of using this service when the money is urgently needed. **Transaction ID: 3956165086** **Very poor experience. No clear resolution. No specific refund ETA. More than 45 days and still waiting for my money.**
