A friend told me about Jase Medical a few years ago. I travel quite a bit and get nervous about getting sick while away. The Jase case is perfect to take along and gives me peace of mind. In 2024, we left for a trip to Europe and I’d been having horrible digestive issues beforehand. I had a test for Giardia but results weren’t back before we left. I got the results at the Philly airport and found out I did test positive. In the Jase case was Metronidazole, which was the medication the doctor prescribed. Without it, I would have suffered! I won’t travel without this case. I renew each year!

I purchased a Jase Case in August 2025 for emergency situations—specifically for times when I might need antibiotics and medical offices are closed. On Christmas Eve 2025, I developed a severe RSV infection that progressed into a painful sinus infection. I felt as though I were drowning in thick, green mucus. I turned to my Jase Case and began taking Augmentin, but it had no effect on the infection. Typically, when Augmentin is effective, it both resolves the infection and causes significant gastrointestinal side effects for me. This time, my stomach felt completely normal throughout the course, as if I weren’t taking antibiotics at all—despite the fact that I am usually very sensitive to them. Because of this, I’m concerned that the antibiotics I received from Jase were ineffective. In prior years, Jase antibiotics worked exactly as expected. This year, however, it felt like I was taking placebo pills rather than a real antibiotic. If Jase is going to sell emergency antibiotics, they need to actually work—not feel like sugar pills. Kelly, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I want to address your concern directly and clearly. Jase operates a multi-state licensed and accredited pharmacy. All medications we dispense, including Augmentin, are FDA approved and sourced from the exact same manufacturers and wholesalers that supply major retail pharmacies such as CVS, Walmart, and large hospital systems. There is no separate supply chain, and there is no formulation difference between what we dispense and what you would receive at a local pharmacy. Regarding the illness itself, while RSV is a viral infection and antibiotics do not treat RSV, many people understandably assume that worsening sinus symptoms during or after a viral illness automatically represent a bacterial sinus infection. In reality, the vast majority of sinus infections that occur in the setting of RSV or other respiratory viruses are viral or inflammatory rather than bacterial. Thick or discolored mucus, facial pressure, and congestion can look and feel severe but still be caused by ongoing viral inflammation of the sinus lining. True bacterial sinus infections tend to follow a different pattern. They more commonly involve symptoms that persist beyond 10 days without improvement, worsen after an initial period of recovery, or are accompanied by high fevers and significant focal pain. When those features are not present, antibiotics like Augmentin provide no benefit because there is no bacterial pathogen to target. The absence of gastrointestinal side effects is also not a reliable indicator of whether an antibiotic is active. Many people experience side effects intermittently or not at all, even when taking fully effective medication. We take medication quality extremely seriously. Every lot we dispense is tracked and regulated under the same oversight applied to any licensed pharmacy in the United States. We do not compound, dilute, or reformulate these antibiotics in any way. Emergency antibiotics are intended to be used with sound clinical judgment and are not a substitute for in person medical evaluation when symptoms are severe, prolonged, or worsening. We always encourage patients to seek medical care in those situations. Your feedback is appreciated, and if you would like our clinical team to review your experience more closely, we are available to do so.
