JamPlay.comReviews of jamplay.com

JamPlay offers lessons for every ability from "this is a guitar" to advanced concepts and techniques. The lessons are detailed and progressive and something is available for nearly every genre such as rock/blues, jazz, flamenco, and country.

Great site for learning guitar whether you are a beginner or advanced student. This site also promotes a sense of community where you can interact with other guitar students and teachers. Live webcam Jamchats allow real time answering of questions by knowledgeable instructors. Highly recommended.

JamPlay.com is the best site I've found for learning to play the guitar. It has enough lessons (all really well produced - very clear, professional looking video - with cameras pointed at the neck and strumming hand). A majority of the lessons have supplemental content like backing tracks to try out what you've learned on, tabs and chord chards. If you get stuck, there is often an instructor on the site available to help you out via their chat room. Considering how much private lessons cost, JamPlay.com is a real deal. I've only been a member for a couple days, but I've already spent more time on jamplay than I did in the first 6 months on the site I formerly subscribed to. There is so much content, from so many different players. I'm still investigating jamplay, but I think I'm going to love it! There is room to grow as a guitar player with so much to choose from.

After taking private lessons for over a year i was getting discouraged with my level of progress and the lack of clear direction with my playing. Repeated requests to my instructor to "Help me get better" didn't seem to make a difference. I needed a change or i knew I would soon stop playing altogether....AGAIN. I found JamPlay almost by accident one day surfing around the miscellaneous guitar sites online. As with any "Pay site" I was sceptical. Seemed to be good. So I did a free 7 day membership. That was in November 2012. Just renewed again through March 2015. This site is great for so many reasons. 24/7 access fits my schedule. JamPlay allows me to set my own practice schedule. I spent a bit of time initially finding the instructors I felt were right for me. With so many professional guitarist on JamPlay I knew I just needed to hook up with the ones who were teaching what I was looking for, and they are all available to me when I need them. What else could you ask for. Lastly, the live chats are a huge plus for JamPlay over other sites. With any webcam and a little bit of guts you are able to go live with the JamPlay instructors and your fellow JP members. Great site. Awesome instructors. Super value.

Jam Play is a very comprehensive teaching program that is very convenient for me as I have a very hectic work schedule. I am able to proceed at my own pace and have the ability to go back and review previous lessons. I tried taking in person lessons a few years back which did not work as I felt I had to proceed at the instructors pace not mine. I almost gave up playing all together thinking that I didn't have the ability to play. I've been taking lessons on Jam Play for over a year and made noted improvements. The content of the lessons is very good and presented in a manner that makes it easy to understand for a beginner. Jam Play has great customer service, they are very responsive should you have an issue. I would highly recommend Jam Play to anyone interested in playing guitar.

Jamplay offers a wide variety of excellent guitar and bass guitar instructors, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced student, whether you are picking up the guitar again after many years and looking for a disciplined approach, or whether you want to improve your chops in blues, rock, country, jazz, classical or flamenco guitar. Great explanations of as much music theory as you want. A bargain!

I began wanting to learn how to play the guitar back in 2009. Thought that I would take the usual route. Our local music store had instructors, so I signed up and began to learn classical guitar. A half an hour lesson every week for almost a year. I thought to myself, "I am not really making much progress" I bought a capo one week, and inside was a card for a one week trial to a website called Jamplay. Well, I tried it and there was no turning back! Not only did they have classical instructors, but I also bought a new acoustic guitar to learn fingerstyle from 2 fabulous instructors, Jim Deeming and Steve Eulberg. Their lessons were easy to follow and their live chats very informative. You get to know the instructors and they get to know you as well! Learning on Jamplay.com has given me the confidence to begin playing with our church choir and also I have joined a classical guitar orchestra.
