JamPlay is a great service. It allows you to proceed at your own pace. You can review skip ahead and plan your learning to suite you. I would recommend JamPlay to anyone interested in improving your guitar playing skills. Jim

After initial scepticism I signed up "just to see" and my expectations have been exceeded at every turn; there is a lesson , many in fact, for every style, stage and angle of learning, superbly presented with all the lessons printable in tab form and able to repeat until you master them. The IT interface is busy but fun and engrossing once you get used to finding your way around the large site, with a friendly forum. The best feature, somewhat underused by members , is that the teachers appear live on webcam quite often each and you can type chat and questions with them, making a real human connection with some charming experts. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Split screens, view of chord formation and reasonable advancement of skill requirement make this an excellent teaching guide. If one is serious about learning to play, or to learn a new style of playing, I believe that the JamPlay method of teaching will allow anyone to reach their desired result. For someone like myself who has played with a flat pick for more than 70 years I am going to slowly (very slowly) finally gain some thumb independence and be able to correctly play a few Chet Atkins style tunes. So glad I stumbled onto the JamPlay site. R. Publicover

I've been playing guitar for about 10 years and played bass professionally for over 25. I'd been looking to push my fingerstyle guitar playing up a notch and found some of the demo videos on YouTube. After subscribing to the actual courses, I'm very impressed. Also, I am an IT professional ( by day), and the site design is very nice, and that's something I'm very critical of typically. So far there hasn't been a bad lesson yet, and the quality of the production is perfect. I love the multi-split screen, it really helps. Good job guys. You will build a legion of great musicians with this type of instruction, it's sure helping me.

Played for 10 years in my teens and twenties but apparently developed allot of bad habits. Still in the beginners stage but unbelievable difference as now I'm using all 4 fingers on my right hand.

My hubby and I are not spring chickens and yet we are able, in the comfort of our own home, to select an instructor and dive right in to learning to play the guitar. Prior to Jamplay we had tried several other methods, including having a lesson in a studio. What we love about Jamplay is availability when WE want it: stop start, review, do over, skip ahead, whatever we feel we need. The supplemental materials are right there, too. We print them out, set aside time each evening, and see what new things we'll learn. We love David isaacs' beginner lesson series! I have had the Jamplay Lick of the Day App for a couple of years, even before I had my guitar! I guess I thought I might learn by osmosis. Didn't happen. Jamplay is simply professionals teaching. We are impressed with every single aspect of the program and options. I've already recommended it to several friends for themselves for for their kids who want to learn guitar.

I really liked the approach and that I could choose different instructors videos and go over the principles from a different perspective with every "teacher". There is definitely the issue of too many choices but it has many benefits too. The videos load fast, they are great quality. I didn't really use the complementary files for the lessons. It felt like having a 1:1 with one of the great players :) Insanely useful. I am not too sure about the advanced stuff and the play along songs are very limited and not my style but to learn the basics there is not many sites like jamplay.
