I run a US-registered LLC as a non-US resident, and I’ve worked with a few accounting providers over the years. Nobody has made cross-border taxes as clear and stress-free as the team led by James Baker, especially Esteban Lopez and Valentina Romano. James, the owner, has been very knowledgeable and confident in every interaction I’ve had with him. He knows the international and non-resident side of US taxation inside out, and he gives clear answers and direction without hesitation. That confidence is rare and makes a real difference. Esteban handles the day-to-day operations of my company, and he’s a pleasure to work with. He’s responsive and organized, and he explains things in plain language, so I never have to wonder where things stand or what to do next. Valentina handles the IRS and tax matters, and she’s outstanding. International tax can be confusing and high-stakes, but she’s thorough, knowledgeable, and always on top of deadlines. She communicates clearly and answers my questions with confidence, which gives me real peace of mind. Together they make a great team. If you’re a freelancer, founder, or non-resident owner of a US company, I can’t recommend James, Esteban, and Valentina highly enough. Five stars.

I paid James Baker CPA around $8,000 over two years. In my experience, the service came nowhere close to justifying that price. Communication was painfully slow. Their email team often took far too long to respond, and some questions went unanswered until I chased them again. Basic answers should not require repeated follow-ups when you are paying thousands for professional support. The compliance issue was the final straw. They filed my previous Wyoming annual report on September 22, 2025. When I later asked when my annual service had been paid, their team told me September 30, 2025. I understood that to mean my annual coverage continued through September 30, 2026. Given that they handled the previous report before September 30, I expected the 2026 report to be handled within my paid service period too. My decision not to renew should not erase obligations already covered by my payment. Instead, after ending the relationship, I discovered that Wyoming’s official registry showed my LLC’s tax standing as DELINQUENT. As of October 8, 2026, the company remained active, but no 2026 annual report appeared. Their team confirmed it hadn’t been filed and referred to an unsettled renewal quote. I have asked them to explain exactly what my existing payment covered and identify any contractual basis for excluding this filing. That remains unresolved. Even the handover wasn’t proactive. When our business relationship ended, they didn’t offer a closing package. I had to request it myself. They eventually supplied documents, but I was still left chasing coverage dates, outstanding obligations and who would resolve the unfiled report. After around $8,000 in fees, I shouldn’t have had to manage my own accountant’s offboarding. A pile of documents, supplied after prompting, is not the same as a clear and properly managed exit. I hired professionals to reduce my administrative burden. Instead, I paid thousands and ended up checking the state record, piecing together what had been done and demanding basic accountability. In my experience, the fees were premium and the service was not. Seriously overpriced, deeply disappointing and an embarrassingly poor finish to the relationship. I would not hire them again or recommend them. Find a reasonably priced provider that communicates reliably and makes its responsibilities clear.

I’m with James baker & associates corp more then 1 year already, they are not super fast but they know their job very well, I’m very happy working with them, they did a lot of changes on my company even hard to be done changes, overall I’m more than satisfied, definitely recommend

My former employer had little understanding of the tax and payroll requirements for nonresident aliens. They used ADP, which did not properly accommodate my circumstances as someone working for a US company, mostly from overseas and occasionally in the United States. As a result, my IRS tax returns were extremely complicated. James Baker & Associates worked through the problems and got everything completed correctly. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone facing a complex international tax situation.
