Please stop IXL, Every time my math teacher assigns me homework, it is an endless cycle of torture. Every time I get a question wrong the smart score sapien comes out and makes my smart score to -1/4 WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN I HATE FRACTIONS. THEN when I try to understand what I get wrong, Ixl starts speaking in egyptian hieroglyphics and gives me an answer of Abraham Lincoln. LIKE WE WERE SOLVING FOR X TWIN. It is an endless math prison where you can never understand anything. I genuinely prefer to do Kumon for 67 hours a week then this garbage.

Absolutely terrible horrible. It causes unnecessary amounts of stress and makes me stress out I go from 93 to 85 or something along the lines of that. This is one of the worst teaching apps because teachers just assign you a ixl. The little screen that is ment to teach you how to do it is terrible too also ixl minus is not helpful it's just a advertisement for the platform saying how good it is.

Dear IXL, you were made to help students like us, But the students doing IXL are stressed and frustrated, draining their enthusiasm. I almost committed, this is not just us overreacting, it us telling you how we feel. If you don’t read this, nothing changes.

This is actual torture, I would rather watch paint dry then do IXL. I rather try to clean the entire world than this

Why I Don't Like IXL IXL is a website students use for math, reading, and other subjects. I dont really like IXL because it can be boring, stressfull, and frusterating. One reason I dont like IXL is because when you get a question wrong, your score goes down. This makes me nervus because I dont want my score to get really low. I think its okay to get things wrong because thats how you learn. Another reason is that IXL gets really boring. Sometimes you have to do alot of questions that are almost the same. After doing them for a while, I just want to be done. IXL can also be frusterating when you dont understand a question. Sometimes the explination doesn't really help, and I would rather have my teacher help me. In conclution, I dont really like IXL because its boring and stressfull. I think there are better ways to learn, like games, projects, and working with other students. IXL is okay sometimes, but I dont think we should use it all the time.

This is the worst learning app I've ever used. Not only does it leak student data, but it has the worst UI and gimmicks. For example, when doing a lesson they have a "Smart Meter." Which determines your smart score. Upon getting even one question wrong later in the lesson; your "Smart Meter" will decrease by 10-15 points. This is absolutely insane since you only gain 2-4 points for getting something right. People will be up for hours trying to get an assignment done and will be 50 questions in for something only worth 10 points for your grade. When pressing the enter button your keyboard it instantly assumes you're complete with the question. My teacher has gotten to the point where you only need 80 score to get a good grade because it's actually that bad. Horrible App, Horrible UI, Horrible Methods.

I am in middle school. I go to online school, and what can i say for this joke of a website? IT SUCKS! It is a TORTURE method for CHILDREN! I have adhd which makes this website hard and annoying! Not to mention getting a question RIGHT gets 2-5 points max! But getting them wrong is -10 points! MAYBE EVEN 15! The smart score basically calls you dumb. Dont waste your time with this JOKE that eats up your breaks. It worsened my depression and anxiety. i google answers now. IT DOESNT TEACH YOU.

It sucks, absolute garbage in hell why is this even legal it makes people depressed and sad it takes away 15 or 7 points when I get a answer wrong. I would almost scream at my computer because of the crappy smartscore system.
