IXL is probably the most emotional draining thing on earth! It gives you like nothing for a right question and takes away SO MUCH for a wrong answer. It makes me afraid of mistakes. In the terms of service, it says that it can sell your progress to other 3rd parties. HUH?! This app apparently can sell your intelligence to Pokemon Go. I try to tell my mom about this and all she says is "It works, Do it." I really hope I'm not the only one out there. Parents, please listen. This app may look great, but it is secretly destroying your kid's self worth. Let's go Kahn Academy.

FREAKING HATE IXL BAN IXL IN SCHOOLS I am a 7th grader doing MATH 1 yet I CANT DO A 7TH GRADE LESSON RIGHT it unfairly punishes you at the point where it’s just luck the “Prizes” are the worst motivation they can be THE EXPLANATIONS MAKE NO SENSE AND DONT EXPLAIN CLEARLY if ur a adult reading this PLEASE help ban ixl if ur a child reading this MAKE A BAD REVIEW!!!!

IXL is either too hard or too easy. When it is easy you learn nothing from it, and when it is hard you spend WAY too much time on it. I have seen classmates cry and scream over the smartscore. Just don't use this platform

This is the entire reason why I feel stressed and was depressed in my elementary years. This application makes learning a literal real-life boss level where a single miss makes the boss kill you and restart. Even when you finish a lesson, there are so many more lessons that are waiting to destroy your hope. Doing anything in IXL, whether a diagnostic or a lesson, feels like you are pushing a rock up a mountain, but it always falls back more and more and more. Do not EVER recommend it to your children. This will KILL their desire to learn anything. If they already use it, stop them. They might enjoy it for now, but soon, when they understand, they will despise this with every bone in their bodies.

Every time I am like 1 question away to getting a 100, I misclick and lose like 40 points!

The smart point system is stupid, when I got to 85 points and got a single question wrong, I went down to 63. That's 5 more questions than I have patients for. It's a repetitive cycle of hard questions that you sometimes don't understand, and get a 0 or a 30 for your grade because you didn't complete it.

Before I saw all the other reviews on this company, I thought I was the only one who hated this company with all my heart. Literally everytime I had to use this app it made me cry because tell me why I get one right and get 3 points, but I get one wrong and lose 10, and now I have to be in IXL While all my friends are playing Boddle and Prodigy! 😭 and you get an easy as heck question, I get it right, well great NOW I’M DOING EIGHTH GRADE MATH! If only I could give no stars! Teachers, please don’t make your students do this, I don’t want them to cry and feel stupid like me
