I am disappointed that It's Just Lunch doesn't do anything unique or special to match people: the match makers pretty much just match based on age and kids/no kids preferences and location. Dating sites can do that without a week long or more delay. My matchmaker seems very overworked and doesn't have the time to get to know her clients. I'm just a name with an age, location, and kid/no kid preference. Matchmakers don't know very much about the matches, such that educational background is difficult to find out, and that aspect is very important to me. I wish I would have been told before I signed up for this service that they have very few potential matches for women who are education-focused and don't want kids. I could likely make more progress more quickly on an online dating site, but since I paid so much money for this service I feel obligated to use it since the whole idea was to help me save the time I would have spent with online dating. I'm hoping IJL can find me someone, but I'm getting doubtful.

I have been introduced to two men through It's Just Lunch. The first date was a pleasant evening out and I enjoyed our dinner. My second date was also very nice. This was a more well-matched date and we talked for four hours. The restuarant was a great choice and their staff did not rush us. I am spending more time with date #2; would not have met him without IJL. Thank you.

Spam Company. Rebecca and Venessa with others are running this fake company. They will reel you in with nice things in the begining, and make you pay $3400 non refundable fee (just so you know they wont mention it upfront, and if you signed contract then you are doomed). Then they will pretend to search dates for you. Dates will cancel on you last minute. Once you sign the contract with them you are pretty much doomed. I wanted to stop the service after giving it full two weeks. No dates. I read about them i found they did this to many people. Dont trust the reviews on google, it might be from them itself, Check trustpilot. Today itself i tried to talk to Rebecca to get a refund after just two weeks, she was like no we will not refund your money on any cost, do whatever you can, I told her that i am gonna report this business to better business bureau. She said you have signed the contract. When Venessa have to give sales pitch, she will call you, when you have to call back to her, she wont respond. I have already raised this $3400 Charge on my credit card, So they will handle them hopefully. But still they are keeping me as a hostage. When I asked her who is her CEO and Founder, she was not aware of that, or not willing to give that information. Then She mentioned someone named Bill Rossi. She was like no you can not talk to him. its a company of 50 people and you can't talk to the CEO. This company is a complete Spam, Do not spend your hard earned Money on them. I lost my $3400. You dont. Read there reviews on trustpilot instead of Google. I have uploaded Rebecca's Chat on my google review, and I hope some people will read this review and dont trust these people. I am stuck with them for the next 6 months, if nothing works, but I will keep updating this review with time. You can read my chat and even call on this number to verify Rebecca's number. You can notice that she has not responded to me since i asked about cancellation.

I would totally stay away from It's Just Lunch. They reel you in with great promises and then offer nothing. What they don't exactly tell you is that any potential Match that they propose is considered a Date - so you pay $1,000 for 3 Dates and then they show you a "Match" who you don't like so you say NO and that counts as a Date - $333 down. I specifically said no fat guys - (I'm 5'3 120 - I don't want some big fat slob) the first guy they sent me was gross and fat so of course I said no - oh well, $333 gone. It's like a scam - all they have to do is send you people that you won't like, you say no, and they keep your money. It's been 3 weeks since I was sent this AMAZING match so of course I reached out to my "Dating Coach" and he totally blew me off with "I will be in touch with you soon regarding a new match. I have been searching and selecting and be call you as soon as I have a new potential match that meets your criteria" Which is so funny because when we spoke he had SO MANY amazing men he couldn't wait to set me up with - now all of a sudden he can't even find one LOL - this site is such a racket - save your money!!

The experience I've had with IJL has been abysmal to say the least, and I'm generally very lenient with businesses dealing with people. First of all, there's no customer portal so your only point of contact is the matchmaker. They must use systems from the early 2000s; their email signature is a picture, so you can't reach them out through a single click. The dates are setup manually and sent to you by email, WITHOUT a calendar invite. Seriously? Maybe that won't bother everyone, but when you pay that kind of money, this is unprofessional. I got signed up at the end of October '22, and so far (4 months), I've been on 2 dates, 2 more dates cancelled on me, and I've had 4 different matchmakers. My matchmakers have also tried to set me up 3 times with people extremely out of my criteria. I found that out of place when it's a repeated issue. I've been trying to reach both my matchmaker and customer service by phone over the past few weeks; 3 calls to each on different days/times, no one ever picked up. Left voicemails, but no calls back so far... Comparatively, I've used their main competitor in the past, and had a single matchmaker who was responsive and actually curated dates very well. I cannot recommend It's Just Lunch at all, and am now stuck with it as they do not do refunds at all, which is a telltale sign that they know they're not up to par.

No response. No matches. Save your money. See detailed time line which I will continue to update. March 20, 2023 update chirp chirp crickets. No news almost a week later or contact whatsoever March 14. Second conversation with supervisor. No action. March 14. New matchmaker informed me that they're not obligated to find matches. I was told by sales person there would be 1 match per month. March 14. Went on date with completely unsuitable person. It was like watching paint dry. March 7 received new matchmaker. Update just just lunch responded with customer service phone number. I have tried that and gotten no action. Matchmaker stated they would set up match and nothing happened for 3 weeks. 1 date finally. Zero follow up. I have escalated to the management team and requested a new match maker which I now have. Hope things are better with the second matchmaker. If they are better I will gladly edit this response. Feb 7 signed up. Sales person claimed there are "tons of matches in the Austin area"
