It's Just Lunch is very expensive and doesn't perform! The bottom line is that I had 20 dates during my 3 years with It's Just Lunch and not a single second date. It also seemed they didn't have enough women enrolled for my older age group. All I heard from them at the end of my contract was a salesperson's call to re-enroll, but not a word from the matchmaker with whom I'd worked during those three years.

I do not recommend this service. Please save your money and please save your time. When I first signed up there were a bunch of scheduling problems with the interview and availability. I was going to cancel and dispute it with my credit card. They called me, said please give us a chance which I did and that was a mistake. I live in San Diego; they've sent me almost no options in this area and county. Matches don't meet my criteria, bear a few good dates in the last several months or however long I've been using it.

They sell you on something completely different than what you actually get. Lisa is fabulous at her job because she is a dishonest salesman who cares only about making the transaction and she will say whatever she needs to have that happen. I was assured there were endless matches that fit my criteria where I live and that the company is continuously working on setting up dates. This has become an obviously apparent lie as the quality of matches I have been presented and the number of these matches has been worse than any free dating app I have ever used. If they are always searching for dates and the pool is overflowing with the men that Lisa promised, there is no excuse for 2 dates in 5months. Also be warned to read the fine print because when she sells you 12months… what that really means is 12 dates. So they drag this crap out for 3 years to use you as a pawn to fulfill their numbers for the few other clients they have rather than actually caring to set up meaningful connections. They know near nothing about their clients and try to set up dates based on a surface level 10minute phone call they have with you when you first sign up. Don’t think about asking deeper questions about a date’s bio, they can’t tell you, they just regurgitate the description their clients provide of themselves. And to make all this worse, the catch that they are designed specifically for busy professionals is laughable. There is no option for grabbing a quick coffee on the random day you have a spare moment, you better have every hour of your life planned out 3 weeks in advance because that is the only timeline they give you for making a date happen. Don’t make the mistake I did and get swooned by their false promises. Save your money and go elsewhere.

You asked what branch I dealt with, it was Denver I had a terrible experience with -then the manager threatened to sue me if I didn’t pay.

I’m hoping my experience improves. I think it’s a matter of matching criteria.

IJL came up as a potential option for not having to weed through fake profiles and/or nightmares of online dating. I signed up so i could get a call from them to talk about options - the person who recruited me was very nice (she was the closer!) I voiced my concern about not enough opportunities - the recruiter set up another call for the next day to review potential options. She came up with 5-6 options. So i paid and was turned over to my matchmaker. Its has been 7 weeks and i have seen 2 pictures total - been on 1 date that i was told had a big personality - she did not. Been over a month with multiple emails asking for a refund or deliver what i paid them to deliver - opportunities. IJL has done neither. But wait, there is more! they called to try to up charge me - i laughed and said "so you suck so bad that if i give you more $$ you will really try???" LOL Stay away! Bait and Switch

A true scam. Lisa had no problem selling that she had a ton of people who met all the criteria even though she had no one who matched. She clearly just wants to take your money and does not care at all about lies she needs to tell to get it. The second you cannot cancel, their entire tone shifts and they will match you with people who meet only the 3 guaranteed criteria. All the other people who work at IJL just are going along with the matchmaker's lies and hoping that you give up after 2 terrible dates so they can keep your money and don't have to work with you. Also, they are choosing to review and censor names only out of negative reviews. More shady business practices.

My experience with it’s IJL was terrible to say the least. Unfortunately, I found out too late that this company is doing something very different to what they sell you in the beginning. Once I found out what was going on, I had a call with an individual from the executive team, who got agitated and aggressive when I told him that I no longer wished to be apart of the service and that I wanted a partial refund. The fact of the matter is this company’s strategy is poor to say the least. They obviously cannot perform to the expectations that they set and are taking full advantage of people who are in a vulnerable position. I was sold a completely different service than what I received and I cannot emphasize enough, do not get roped into their fluffy sales pitch. If you want to make an investment that is worth your time, energy, and money, DO NOT sign up for any services sold to by It’s Just Lunch. They are a scheme and you are merely dollar signs to them, NOT a customer or priority. If you need one more reason to believe this review.. notice how the site itself does not allow you to leave a review.. that should speak for itself.
