I bought a Cartier watch
I bought a Cartier watch. The watch arrived undamaged. The Cartier box is badly damaged. Neither FedEx or itshot will give compensation for destroying an integral part of my purchase. Very disappointed with the after sales service I acknowledge your reply. I'm pretty sure the reason that FedEx have rejected the claim is because the watch wasn't packed sufficiently to travel from New York to Sydney Australia. Therefore I see it as your responsibility to compensate for the Cartier box Thank you for your most recent reply. As you are not prepared to accept any responsibility for the packaging of the item, I will no longer continue this dialogue.

We are very sorry about the box, but we warn our clients not to accept damaged boxes from FedEx. No, lets not come up with theories but stick to facts please: 1. FedEx does not reject claims because of how item was packaged (they do not know it, nor do they care how the item was packaged inside the outer box). They rejected the claim because although the package (outer box) showed clear signs of damage at delivery time, it was accepted and it is not possible to put a value on the damage to the watch box since watch is not damaged. 2. we have been selling online and shipping international packages since 2005 (for 20 years now), so we do know how to package a watch (in the watch is not damaged as you stated while the outer box was practically destroyed and watch box has just some damage). I do see from notes we did try to do our best to assist as soon as you contacted us and filed a claim with FedEx right away. The problem is at this point it is impossible to get FedEx to admit their fault and claim the insurance on the damaged box. We also can not do any compensation as we are not getting anything from the insurance company, and it is impossible to put a value on the some damage to the Cartier box (which is still functional) while the watch was not damaged at all. So if FedEx tries to deliver a visibly damaged package please do not accept it (we ship all our packages fully insured, with delivery confirmation, so they won't just leave package outside, customers always have a chance to inspect the box), or at the very least open it right in front of delivery person to inspect if everything inside the package is in proper condition.
