It modified image so much that it no longer looked like me
I was trying to submit a photo for a visa application, and it kept flagging for "face is covered" error. I thought it was due to the light shadowing on my face that is impossible to remove without studio even lighting (it wasn't). While trying to find pointers on how to take a proper photo, I found ishotaphoto.com, saw all the positive reviews in Trustpilot so for $5.99, try to see if they can clean up the photo so that it will be accepted by the application web site. First of all, they horribly photoshopped the image in a way that the image no longer looked like me. It changed either the eye shape, removed way too many wrinkles and facial topography, "undistorted" to make my face symmetric or something, etc., to a point the image was unrecognizable as myself. It almost looked like I placed it through a fish-eye lens to make my eye distance wider, my jaw lines "even" (my face is not symmetrical). Secondly, I decided to submit the "corrected" photo to see if it will pass, and it was still rejected. This site is borderline scam, and the amount of image alteration it does is unacceptable. Even if the photo was accepted by the government entity, if they saw that photo and then saw my passport photo and my person, they would know immediately how much the image was doctored. I would not use this service. it was a waste of $5.99, but price was low enough that I won't follow up with the company for horrible work.

Hi Li, sorry the edit went too far, a visa photo has to look exactly like you. Please email us at [email protected] with the order number, a link to the photo, or the email you used for the upload. You will be refunded and your photo will be processed again for free.
