Very bad experience! Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at the IRS Everett office. I traveled from Federal Way twice for confirmed appointments. The first time, I arrived only to be told their system was down. For my rescheduled appointment, I arrived early and found the office locked. I was told the security guard had not arrived, so no one could enter, and they could not tell me when the office would open. Two trips for confirmed appointments and still no service show a serious lack of respect for taxpayers’ time. I would not recommend this location.

The IRS is useless and there needs to be something done about it I have waited 7 months for my attacks return and now I'm being charged a penalty because my e-filing money wasn't put in on the card that my tax return goes on to. My tax return only goes to one card nothing else goes to it so my e-file should automatically come out with my taxes just like it does every year through TurboTax and it does it for everybody else to eat files it's automatically deducted when your tax return is accepted approved and given to you do to the fact that they have held my taxes for seven months they have calls to delay and calls the penalty that I do not rightfully owe. Then they send me this letter tell me if I have a problem I can call this number it's a useless number It also says on here I can talk to a representative no you cannot the automated service will not give you to a representative no matter what it just hangs up on you and I'm going to take a picture to prove it. The IRS needs to stop lying to people and start being available to talk to people. Oh okay so you won't let me snap the screenshot of this letter that shows that it says you can call this number and talk to a representative which is a lie so now I'm going to post it everywhere social media. By the way I'm still waiting on my tax return

useless automated system that will never transfer you to a live representative.....what a waste of our tax money

Here it is Aug 31 and I still do not have my $Refund. If I could give less than 1 star-I would. Waited 1 hour 40 minutes to talk to someone after calling for 2 weeks! 2 weeks.....I completed my verification but I have to do it again? Then I had to be transferred to "another department" as I wait another 40 minutes and someone hung up. The online website will tell you to call. Of all the government money, I believe they can allocate funds for IRS workers. Their lack of responses are insane and unfortunate for us.

THE IRS STILL HAS NOT GIVEN ME MY DAMN MONEY!!! I am BEYOND ANGRY, FRUSTRATED, AND FED UP with the IRS at this point!!! This is absolutely RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE!!! The IRS owes my family MORE THAN $13,000!!! I am STILL fighting to receive money owed to ME from 2022, and now my wife and I are ALSO waiting for money owed to us from 2025!!! Let me make this VERY CLEAR: I HAVE SUBMITTED MY 2022 TAXES THREE TIMES!!! THREE!!! DIFFERENT!!! TIMES!!! And one of those times, I WENT TO THE IRS IN PERSON AND SUBMITTED EVERYTHING MYSELF!!! So what else am I supposed to do?!?! How many times does an American taxpayer have to submit the SAME TAX RETURN before somebody at the IRS actually takes responsibility, processes it, and GIVES THEM THE MONEY THEY ARE OWED?!?! Because I can GUARANTEE you one thing ,IF I OWED THE IRS $13,000, THEY WOULD NOT BE THIS PATIENT WITH ME!!! They would send notices!!! They would add penalties!!! They would charge interest!!! They would demand payment!!! But when the IRS OWES YOU MONEY?!?! Apparently, you’re supposed to just sit around for YEARS and accept excuse after excuse while YOUR MONEY IS STILL MISSING!!! OVER $13,000!!! That is NOT pocket change!!! That is NOT money I’m asking the government to GIVE me!!! THAT IS MONEY MY FAMILY IS OWED!!! And what makes this even more infuriating is that I AM A VETERAN LIVING WITH PTSD!!! Having to repeatedly deal with this situation the phone calls, the paperwork, the waiting, the uncertainty, having to explain the SAME THING OVER AND OVER, and constantly fighting to get a straight answer has repeatedly TRIGGERED MY PTSD SYMPTOMS AND CAUSED ME AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF STRESS!! I served my country, I handled my responsibilities, I filed my taxes, I submitted the paperwork THREE TIMES, and I even showed up IN PERSON!!! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!?! I am DONE quietly waiting!!! I am DONE pretending this is acceptable!!! I am DONE wondering when somebody is finally going to take responsibility and FIX THIS!!! So from this point forward: I WILL WRITE A REVIEW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE IRS EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. UNTIL MY FAMILY RECEIVES THE MONEY WE ARE OWED!!! EVERY!!! SINGLE!!! DAY!!! If taxpayers are expected to be accountable when they owe the IRS money, then THE IRS NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE WHEN THEY OWE TAXPAYERS MONEY!!! NOW GIVE ME MY MONEY!!

The IRS owes me money since 2024 2025$ to be exact January 27th I put in for an amendment again then July 10th they tried to say something was wrong when it was not wrong they just don't want to pay up then again in August of 2026 they want to try to say that a name that I haven't used in 7 years on my IRS papers is now all the sudden a problem I've been married for a while I haven't used my maiden name in over 7 years on my IRS tax returns I have only used my married name. The IRS just does not want to give money they don't want to give what they when do we get to sue the irs? When do all of us people get tired of having to beg for what we are owed? We all need to step up and get together and demolish the IRS Then they said to me and my husband they refused to speak with me and only my husband because he's the head of the household and if I speak at all they will hang up on me I have it all I'm recording I have all of the pictures we need to do something about this people

Absolutely horrific. Everything is automated, could not figure out how to speak with an agent about my complex refund issue. Called the general number and was sent to a menu of other numbers. Called the one for refunds and immediately got a long automated message about a special offer for a medical device. I repeatedly said "agent" and was redirected to ANOTHER automated message about this deal on a free medical devices, but it was one that sounded like a real person who asks an initial question whether you can hear them ok just to verify that you're actually there, and then the rest is an automated message. I repeatedly said "agent" and was then redirected to a THIRD automated message about this medical device. When I repeatedly said "agent" again, it just stopped the message and asked for a yes/no to confirm that I didn't want the device, and then it HUNG UP. I called the same number back again and got a different automated message that had only 3 options, none of which fit my inquiry. Bottom line is I have no idea what's going on and it says it could take up to 3 weeks to receive an amended return and then 16 weeks to process it. That's all the information I'm going to get without going in person, so now I have to go across town in person and deal with this crap.

Byzantine system partnered with EQUALLY pathetic IDME. Could't submit taxes due to an unfixable error with IDME. I'm poor, disabled, and got billed thousands for "Affordable" Care Act subsidy"adjustment" even though the WORTHLESS insurance paid absolutely nothing any time I needed it.
