I returned the product unopened because I read that only lasers help restore hair growth. This product has mostly LEDs, not lasers. So, no big deal I thought. They advertise money back guarantee. My product was unused/unopened. So, I could not imagine any issues. I mailed it back, but I received only partial refund. They subtracted 18% restocking fee. I feel they should not advertise Money Back Guarantee if they give partial refunds even on unopened products. 18% from $695 dollars is a pretty big amount. Make sure you want it before you buy it. I bought one of these helmets to treat early stage female pattern hair loss and have been using as directed for well over a year now. I also started a contraceptive pill containing cyterproterone which my doctor said is helpful to hair loss for its anti androgen effects and a low does of finasteride. At my last check my hair count was slightly worse despite all of these interventions. My doctor convinced me to try oral minoxidil which I have now been taking for 5 months. I had terrible shedding during the first 3 months which completely freaked me out and really noticed my ponytail had thinned. Now I am finally noticing a lot of baby hairs and will see my dr in a month for another check. This helmet was a waste of $ for me and I would recommend trying oral minoxidil instead as so far the only thing that seems to be working. I am 43 and otherwise in excellent health, a normal healthy weight etc and no signs of excess androgens or early menopause.

The company has an open and friendly profile. They have a very fast response webchat with friendly associates to answer questions. (I admit to being lulled out of my usual cynical mindset. Never again.) The device did not do anything for me after more than 12 months of use. However, that isn't why I'm giving it just one star. It could work for others perfectly well. My issue is with the return policy. On my receipt and friendly email from Madeleine to go over usage etc., I was informed that I have to use it for 12 months before I can return it for a refund. No mention of the 35 days cut-off after that time! iRestore pointed out when I queried the policy that it is mentioned in the fine print on the website. Did I say I was lulled into not doing due diligence and checking all the fineprint on the website? In every other correspondence before purchase only the 12 month usage before return that is mentioned. Bottom line: If you want to try this device, set up an alarm to remind you that 12 months has passed. You have to return it between 365 and 400 days!

I have used the product for over 5 weeks now. I am not sure this has happened to everybody,but I definitly got grey hair now because of it. I have never had grey hair and I know the only change was the helmet I cannot comment on the hair growth as it is too early. Very unlikely to use it regularly now.

Bought an iRestore in October 2019. It stopped working in November 2020. IRestore refuse to replace it under warranty as it’s over a year old (by four weeks!). I got another one before that which also packed in after 15 months. It did seem to stop any further loss, but didn’t generate any growth. However, this thing costs 1,500GBP, and that equates to 110GBP per month, or given you use it every other day, around 10GBP per go. Irestore would only offer a discount on another garbage product. So, my advice is avoid this company.

I have been using this consistently for over two years exactly as guided, and it has done zip, nada, nothing. I was also supposed to receive free gifts for spending around £500 on it, and got nothing. Utter snake-oil.

I used the product consistently for over 2 years. I'm a male, and in addition to this product, I used other medications to assist with hair issues. I do believe the LED therapy helped with hair growth and strength, but I'm uncertain as to how much. Since I bought the device 2 years ago, the marketplace has clearly shifted and iRestore seems to be more reluctant to say that it actually works as advertised. Apparently there is scant data to prove that it actually works. Their web presence has also changed dramatically, and they seem very in-control of their reviews, which is suspicious. After 2 years the product simply stopped turning on. It's basically a plastic helmet with LED bulbs, made in China. Probably costs $10 to manufacture and yet it sells for hundreds of dollars. They refused to replace it, and instead offered a discount. I think i'm going to pass... This company seems more like a scam now than it did 2 years ago.

Be aware of the real shipping costs... When purchasing one of their products, I was quoted a shipping price of $80 to ship from the US to the UK. When I checked out, they charged me $129.93, and when UPS tried to deliver the product, they wanted to charge another £90. So $80 to $290, which when challenged they were happy to just say that import charges are nothing to do with them. Probably true, but this is definitely a company that doesn't care too much about their customers and seem quite comfortable with providing very misleading information. Very unhappy customer
