Negative stars? If it was possible, I would take away some stars from this company. I had given them a review some time ago, following our extremely awful experience for a relocation for USA to UK. As it was such a big move, new job etc, I got side tracked and could not respond to their response. Now that we are settled, I came across my emails and have read most of their response, and its like a broken record - repeating the same things again and again. The bottom line is, these guys are 'crooked', cheats and lie through their teeth to get the business. Once you pay them the deposit, they would do anything and everything to find ways to claw money back or charge extra monies. They are picking on things out of context (the various quotes from my emails etc) without sharing the full picture. There are also comments from various other sites that they have been caught paying people to make positive reviews for them! Don't be fooled by them and avoid them even if you have to pay extra to someone else - they would recover their monies from you. If you are in the unfortunate position of using them, all I can suggest is don't believe their word for anything - get everything in writing, explicitly asking for an "all inclusive final fixed price quote".

This company is sloppy, irresponsible and unprofessional when they made mistakes. They use unethical tactic to take advantage of their customers. Reference#1308565 This is a misadventure that I had to endure in shipping my personal items from Bloomington, Indiana to Bangkok, Thailand. This is a door to door move. The sales person Judy York was apparently nice at first, but disappeared when things went wrong! Furthermore, this company denied responsibility for all mistakes caused by their own employee failure. Instead they blame their own customer. -The mishap began when potential added fees were heavily obscured from the initial quotation of 7,435 dollar(email on Nov 3rd). This was done so the cost would appear to be lower. Right from the moment the deposit is made, IVL consistently added more questionable charges. On top of the initial quotation, I was charged at least 478 USD...Every delays, mistakes, and responsibility are pushed to me. -Then another big mistake happened: The shipment arrived at the wrong province/city. Instruction and quotation is based on shipment arriving at port PAT in Bangkok. But the shipment arrives at port BMT in a different city/province called Samutprakarn. They are geographically different....This is very unprofessional because the exact port and city have been emphasized both verbally and in writing right from the beginning on November 1st and 2nd 2016. This resulted in additional transportation fee of 682 USD. -Other facts: This company never gives advance notification on upcoming payments. They would simply threaten to delay shipment if the money were not paid right at the moment of notice. For example, I suddenly had to pay 6,530 without any prior warnings! They would also take advantage of payment situation by adding 2% late fee that accumulates daily! (Pretty sure it's illegal to do that)... -Any verbal proposal and promise means nothing: the general manager Scott appeared to be understanding and proposed some compensations. Once the phone was hung up, he backed out of his proposal. After a 2 week communication, through email, I was offered a meager 150 USD even though I lost 1,160.84 USD due to their tactics, mistakes, and irresponsibility. Then he suddenly threatened that he will not pay unless I sign a "special contract" not to tell anyone about the bad experience I had. (Feb 9th) So I can confirm that stories from other reviews/complaints were true! Initial quotation: 7,435 USD Final amount that I paid: 8,595.84 USD Difference: 1160.84

I’m not quite sure where to start with this review. The short version is as follows. My wife and I paid IVL over $7,000 to move us from New Jersey to Indiana. We were told that the movers would wait to deliver our items to the destination until we arrived a few days later. The next day, I received a call telling me that they were going to deliver the items the following day, with or without us. Since we were not present for the delivery, the movers were downright careless with our items. Many hard plastic boxes were broken, and virtually all of the cardboard boxes ended up in terrible shape. Several pieces of furniture were also destroyed. See the pictures for clarification. Furthermore, the movers ignored our request to spread the items across the storage unit so that they would be easier to access. We had arranged for a unit that was roughly twice the size that we needed in order to make this task easier. In spite of this, the movers stacked our items haphazardly on top of each other, with furniture piled on top of fragile items, all the while leaving half of the floor space unused. We had to hire local movers just to rearrange our items in such a way that we could access them. Those movers said that the way that the IVL movers had arranged our items was “scary” and felt that their behavior was downright dangerous. When I voiced my displeasure to the company, I was initially ignored. Once I was finally spoken to, the manager attempted to intimidate me into accepting an appallingly small sum of “hush money.” He assured me that their lawyers would bully us into either accepting a pitifully small settlement (and signing an agreement preventing us from telling anyone about our horrifying experience) or take them to court, which he assured me would be stacked against us. My conscience prevented me from taking the deal. I felt obligated to let others know about our horrendous experience, in the hope that future customers will be able to avoid this misery. This is not a company that can be trusted to handle your belongings, and it is not a company with enough integrity to fix their mistakes. Do not, under any circumstances, entrust your possessions to them.

I used this company for my home move. They brought a truck too small for the job and raised the price by over $2000 despite having given me an estimate which included all the items which they moved. I ended up having to move several loads myself (tems which were on the original estimate but which did not fit on their truck) with another trailer and paying several thousand dollars more than the "estimate.". They have you over the barrel when you need to move that day and they raise the rate or they will leave. 9/8/16 addendum; The first IVL response was to claimI was a plant from a competitor. Now they removed that response and are saying they were surprised by the item being moved (even though they had an inventory before the move) and look to resolve this. Interestingly they have made no attempt to contact me personally. I already had attempted to contact them but no response. If they truly wanted to make things right they would contact me and would not have been deceptive in the first place. Until they contact me and refund the unreasonable markup my review stands.
