We could not have wished for a better service. ISAS is a very professional company. Not having done a move like this before , we were very much 'in the dark' of the whole procedure but from the get go they lead us thru every step of the way. They also accommodated our every need without hesitation.Every phone call or email was answered immediately. It was a pleasure to watch the pick up crew go about their business. Having moved ourselves before domestically, I know what a hassle and hard work it is. They made it look sooo easy! Not being on the "other side of the pond" to receive out goods, we had a relative meet the delivery crew - same thing, very professional service, keeping in touch every day as to the boat arriving, customs clearance and delivery schedule.In a nutshell, we would definitely, absolutely without hesitation hire ISAS again. happy with the company as well as the one that handled my container in Czech Rep. We ran into some delay and extra charges issues, but I do understand that Custom and port fees and delays wasn't the company's fault. I think that the customers need to be very aware these charges can occur. Jeanine on the US side and Edita from Gosselin Group in Czech Rep were both very helpful with my container. I would definitely recommend this company

the customer service is very bad !!! I sent a request to get a quote, they say that they will send you a quote in 24 to 48 hours I never got anything from them!!! when I called on the phone the women was very rude !! she was yelling at me, no respect, and didn't even want to help !!! I am shocked it is the first time someone talks to me that way !!!!

We moved from Boston to Singapore in September 2016, and used International Sea and Air to ship 32 boxes of books, clothes, toys, and other household items (no furniture). The process was very smooth from start to finish. We first obtained a quote from Ami who also explained the process. The minimum amount to ship was 150 cu ft, and our boxes did not end up using the full space quota. We paid a deposit, then booked a pickup, and self-packed. We were given contact info for various staff - billing, logistics, and a move coordinator, Jeanine, who kept us updated throughout the move. At the pickup, each box was numbered as two staff loaded then into a truck, and we received a copy of the inventory. The boxes took about 7.5 weeks to arrive, and we were contacted by the partner company at the Singapore side, who helped us clear customs and provided the necessary forms. Delivery was punctual and the partner company staff were courteous and helpful. Everything arrived in great shape other than one box which had a hole in the side but the contents were ok. We used standard U haul boxes for all the items. These worked well for books, but I would recommend stronger boxes for contents that aren't packed tightly as several boxes had corners that were dinged. The price from International Sea and Air's side was exactly as quoted at the start, without hidden charges. However, we did have to pay additional customs fees and delivery charges on the Singapore side, which we had expected. Overall, very professional service with great communication throughout, and competitive pricing. I highly recommend International Sea and Air!

I highly recommend International Sea & Air Shipping. My wife and I had a very good experience with them shipping household goods from Virginia to our retirement home in Spain. Everything arrived on time with nothing damaged and nothing missing. I especially appreciated their efficiency. While a competitor couldn't promise a pick-up date, International Sea & Air arranged this in minutes over the phone at a lower price. We were very apprehensive to even attempt to move our dining room set from Belgium to the USA. We contacted a variety of shipping companies and the process seemed daunting and overwhelming. It took us several months to decide. We contacted your organization and my husband spoke with Hillary. She requested our information, worked with us on the container size, costs, what to expect. We could not decide. A few months later, we wanted MORE info and she was just as pleasant as originally and worked with us to confirm/modify our prices and container size. Her attention to detail and expertise, made us feel comfortable in choosing your company. I’ve heard horror stories from people and read things online, so we were doubly careful to ask the “right” questions, since those are the ones that could bite you! Sadly, there ARE some fees that are random, we understand that you can’t control customs and those fees are the most frightening, but Hillary was able to talk “averages” with us. We were very happy that those fees DID fall into the range as she described. Surprises are for Birthday parties, not overseas shipping! I noted that most negative reviews on shipping companies involved a poor guess on how much stuff people really had or how much time it would spend in customs. Hillary helped us with all of this and they really packaged things in the crate with very little unused space. Know what you are willing to spend and accept there are a few variables. As for the shipping itself, the team in NY, the team on the ground in Belgium and the team that unloaded and assembled the furniture at our destination were truly courteous, polite, professional and capable. The Belgian team contacted us, arrived within 5 minutes BEFORE the outlined time window. They took great care and precision to get all the items impeccably protected in a cushion type paper, or bubble wrap and when appropriate, cardboard encased in the crate. Each was clearly marked and labeled as to contents and ownership. Marina was on top of all the paperwork and was an immense help in making sure all our customs forms were filled out to PREVENT additional customs fees and delays. Having an organization aware of those issues is so important. Ronnie of the US team (Preferred Moving and Storage), was upfront and honest, since our container had made a little “detour” but was quickly resolved. Bob & Brandon, unpackaged and re-assembled the furniture, which being antiques, had a few unique design features. The Belgian team had all the screws, nuts, bolts, keys and everything clearly labeled and marked, so everything was all there. I will highly recommend International Sea and Air Shipping to our friends and when necessary, contact your organization again should we need to go move anything overseas.
