I enjoy working through the Instawork app. I’ve had 99.9% good success at the jobs I’ve taken. Don’t show up to a job where all you’re concerned about is the end of the shift. I take jobs that I enjoy doing. Serving in hospitals, merchandising. I get to meet lots of people. I work hard, and do my job. I’ve been working with the Instawork app off and on for 3 years. The more jobs you take, and do a great job, you’ll get higher ratings and more access to better jobs and higher pay. I’ve never had a problem getting paid by Instawork. I had one instance of not being paid correctly, I contacted customer service and they paid me right away. I’ve worked at least 8 different jobs. It doesn’t sound like much- but that’s the benefit of this app. It helps businesses when they’re short handed to get the help they need and I can work when I want.

Instawork has been a blessing as far as supplemental income. I enjoy working when I want and where I want. Teamwork makes the impossible, possible!

Very good side hustle and quick way to earn money. Very appreciative of this app!

Had an overall pretty good experience with Instawork. While it varies from time to time, usually a fair amount of decent paying jobs available. Support has always been helpful too.

I like Instawork as a gig app, yes I do. But insta work can do better. 1st I haven’t seen any fine dining jobs on the app, but the app wants you to have fine dining kitchen experience. Then you can’t pass the tests and can’t work the job even though when you get there they heating up soup in a soup pot or unwrapping sandwiches to put on a tray, just doesn’t make sense, and you don’t qualify for the job. I have also been Operating Restaurants for about 17 years and couldn’t get a prep job or line cook job, just didn’t make sense to me. Management is so not on the same page, not professional, they can be a hot mess at AA where I worked.

I am writing to formally file a complaint against Instawork regarding a recent incident that resulted in me working a full shift without compensation, as well as a broader pattern of questionable practices regarding their timekeeping and payroll systems. On July 11,2025, I arrived on time and began work for an Instawork assignment, clocking in via the app at 4:50 AM and clocking out at 10:30 AM. My location services were on, as required, and I performed my duties alongside my supervisor, who can confirm my presence. Despite this, I was later marked as a “no-show” and denied payment for my time. This is not an isolated incident. I have experienced multiple occasions where Instawork’s system either failed to accurately track my hours or manipulated the information in a way that placed the blame on me as the worker. I have tried addressing these issues through their internal channels but have been met with dismissive responses or no resolution at all. It is unacceptable and unethical for a company to allow someone to work a shift, only to deny their pay without valid cause or thorough investigation. Instawork’s recurring payroll issues have caused financial hardship and demonstrate a lack of accountability and transparency. I am requesting a formal investigation into this matter and am asking that Instawork be held accountable for this pattern of behavior. I also request immediate payment for the hours worked on the date in question and assurance that future hours will be properly tracked and compensated. This app is terrible…..I requested jobs within 20 miles and all the jobs they posted available is 180+ miles. They literally just want to steal our data. Some third world people behind it.
