Significant improvement over canisters, but the G3 with it’s double battery is very heavy for a small person. The very light one I just bought (only goes to 3 liters) doesn’t hang right on the shoulder. The padding’s seemed to be in the wrong place and can’t be moved.

I am on continual oxygen day and night. I do not use the Inogen at night due to mouth breathing at times. So, at night I use my oxygen concentrator. I purchased the Inogen because it is easier to go to doctor appointments with this as compared to bringing two large heavy oxygen tanks. I was also thinking it will be easier during hurricane season - easier to evacuate and easier when the electricity goes off.

Clips on the strap seem a little flimsy. I am always worried they will come unclipped.

the customer service rep made this experience easy, non-stressful and user friendly. Two weeks after getting our inogen the unit was making a horrible noise, I called CS the rep quickly assured me this would be handled with in 24 hours. Not only was this true but I had to do nothing but call, wait for UPS, switch out the units and resume usage. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs oxygen support.

The Inogen portable oxygen tank is a help to me and I am happy to have it. It is easy to operate and does exactly what the brochure says. The first oxygen tank had to be replaced as it began heating up abnormally. Also, the separate charger sent to me did not work and also had to be replaced. If you were to ask me for a suggestion, I would request that all appliances be tested before sending out to be sure they worked correctly.

Great customer service, only thing lacking is the amount of time the batteries last.

I received my Gen 3 just 2 days before we left for Christmas vacation. We traveled from an elevation of 900 ft to almost 6,000 ft. and spent the week of Christmas at elevation 5,800ft. I am on O2 24/7. My Gen 3 just kept perking right along with no hitches or hiccups for the entire trip. I was extremely pleased and am still using it every day as I am out and about our home town. We love it. I no long have to worry about running out of O2.

My portable G3 unit works well for walking. I have added two things that I think have made it a little more functional. 1. I sewed a slot (made from an extra shoulder pad) to the back of the pack that holds the G3 and used a belt to secure the unit around my waist along with the shoulder strap. This allows for a larger range of motion without the unit slipping off your shoulder. I bought a belt that stretches which makes it more comfortable. 2. I added more padding to the shoulder pad. I found that the strap was not very comfortable especially when using the double battery.
