This device is great and gave me my freedom back to do the things I want to do.

I really like having the inogen one g3. I chose this model because of the longer battery life, however I wish I knew when I ordered in December that the g5 was coming out a few months later. I would have waited. I think if ur gonna release a newer version you should inform new patients so they can decide if they want to wait for the newer model. I'm a little upset because the new version has an even longer battery life and is smaller than the g3 and my g3 will be rendered useless in a few years when you decide to stop making the filters and batteries. Overall, I am very pleased with my inogen. It works well and allows me to get out on my own.

The only issue I have with this is the plug in for the charger, it seems to go in on an angle rather then straight in and I think this will in turn bend the piece you put into the machine.. other then that I really enjoy the freedom I have without lugging around those huge tanks. I am only 51 and cannot imagine any elderly person trying to lug them so I feel everyone should be entitled to this machine at a lower cost as it is quite expensive.

I wish you had a fanny pack to carry the unit in. It’s much heavier than I anticipated

Overall I feel quite satisfied with my Inogen. However, the unit I have has disappointed me in a few areas. 1) The commercials indicate that “it makes it’s own oxygen from the air”..... that is NOT TRUE and is misleading to those who don’t have an understanding of concentrators as compared to tanks. 2) I wasn’t told that the unit only gives “pulse doses” as compared to continuous flow like my large home concentrator.... so that too is misleading on the commercials and salespersons do NOT tell you that unless you know to ask. It’s difficult to switch back/forth when you are used to continuous flow. 3) Nasal prongs on the cannula are too wide for my nose so I’m sure they are for others. 4) Unit is more noisy than I expected. 5) Unit in the fanny pack is best for me but gets quite warm and has given one error code due to sitting in a chair or car while traveling. I have both shoulder and fanny pack as I have left shoulder and lower back disability and need to change up but shoulder one doesn’t have storage space for extra battery like the fanny pack does. The backpack would not work for me so I’m hoping someone can redesign the shoulder one or change up the heating mechanism somehow. Lastly let me say that this unit is worth it by far as opposed to other options as I have to go sometimes out of town for doctor visits and hope I can travel soon and without Inogen, that would NOT BE POSSIBLE! Although for those like me on limited income? It is hard to pay for when I am not on straight Medicare or Medicaid and get the highest amount of disability and have medical insurance so I’m not eligible for the “free” other models. Thus, the unit I have I’m praying will still be working when I get it paid off! Thanks!

Big problem is the air connection at the outlet. The hose wants to bend over completely at the connection restricting and/or stopping the air flow. I’ve had to try shaping the tubing with duct tape to reduce the bend tendency. The net casing is hard for my wife to get on and off. A shaped more rigid case might be more functional.
