Seems to be a great little unit, if not overpriced. One HUGE thing it is lacking is a Manual mode. All the hardware is there to do it, just not implemented. I got out of breath last week so bad I started to breathe through my mouth. Did it help? No it stopped working? Also like many of us I need it all night. A simple manual mode would allow it to puff all night. Theses are SERIOUS oversights on the part of Inogen and could make an OKAY machine into a TREMENDOUS machine.

Very helpful in identifying my needs and the best machine for me.

I would have liked to have been told that the unit is pulse and not continuous oxygen. I am getting used to it but wish this had been explained before purchase.

This is very handy to have especially when out shopping or visiting. Just wish Inogen was more accurate on their estimates of how long the batteries last. I realize that the lower the setting the longer they last but I believe the settings are no way near accurate. After using this for awhile I can determine how long I can go on a battery, and it is much less than you say. Having said that, it is so much easier to use the Inogen than to lug large bottles of oxygen or even small bottles of oxygen. You really need to work out a deal with the medical plans, including Medical Advantage plans.

This is a good alternative. Allows one to fr et out and do more but could still be less heavy and quieter.
