Sometimes the machine will not start. I have had to start put regular oxygen tank in car just in case. Love the way is is not heavy. I sometime think the battery is not working as long as it should. My sister saw the insufficient time when she was me this week.

When the battery is completely used, changing the battery will not make the unit usable . You have to plug the unit into a AC source to get it started then the battery will work. My problem is that I did not have the AC adapter in my carry on so I had to use the airlines oxygen supply for the last 2.5 hrs. Of my flight . Then the airlines called for EMS people to meet the plane which was very embarrassing . Anyway you need to fix the battery problem. Duke Houama

When they work they are good, but they don't last very long.WE have 1 home unit and 1 portable. We are on medicare program and in the last 4 years we have had 6 different machines. In the first year the service was terrible, they quote 24 to 48 hours and it was 10 days for replacement. Now the service is much better and is about 2 days from TX. I will have to think about staying with them.

I purchased on line and through their phone operators. The operator was very knowledgeable and I purchased the G4. This device was used to travel. After purchasing we discovered the G4 did not meet stressful or long term expectations. Inogen was unable to help with a change out or offer any credit in a change out to a G3. After being shut down by Inogen I found the owner of O2Relief in Irvine by luck on a Saturday. He was able to help us review all options and change out my G4 for the G3. While I was not made financially whole, I did get a good buy on the G3. Both products have been dependable but know needs, the extra weight in G3 (2.5lbs) is worth more versatility and options.

Battery life at 3 liters is disappointing.

Definitely better than the tanks. Pulse makes it noisy. It would disturb others at a movie. Very heavy when carrying both batteries. Both batteries needed if you are on more than 2 litres. I haven't tried others so I don't know if it's better or not. .
