I have mild COPD my lung capacity is around 70 percent.I dont need oxygen all the time but its there when I do and I wanted the smallest one so I could use it anytime and anywhere,its quiet and light and with the belly pack I can spin it around to the front or back,even wear it outside working in the yard or take it on vacation I had a heavy one my insurance was helping with,it was good to have on a trip but impractical to wear so I always wanted to try the smallest Inogen portable I had seen on tv so my insurance wouldnt cover it so I decided I wanted it so I went into debt for it so I could own it and have it for years to come especially if I really end up needing it more.If Im outside for awhile sometimes I get out of breath and I will come inside and use it and it does really make a difference,Im not disapointed.

Battery life is wonderful.

Have had the Inogen G5 for about a year and a half now, and is great for trips. I have the 4 hour and the 10 hour batteries, so I always have one charged and it gives me peace of mind for travelling and staying away from home. I change the cylinders last month and it was very easy. Machine and customer service has been great.

YOUR REPRESENTATIVES WERE VERY HELPFUL. THIS IS MY SECOND MACHINE. MY FIRST ONE IS STILL RUNNING BUT I HAVE HAD IT FOR APPROX 5 YEARS, SO IT WAS TIME TO GET A NEW MACHINE. THE NEW ONE IS SO MUCH QUIETER THAN THE FIRST ONE. I USE IT EVERY DAY. THANKS

I bought this to take on trips. It has a battery back up.

Portable G5 works well. My Doctors office and Inogen made the process of procuring approval from Medicare seamless. Inogen reps, from application thru delivery and orientation were very professional and personable. And help desk was readily available to answer all my questions. The Inogen G5 and the non Inogen home unit Inogen sent me have worked without any problems. A couple of upgrades that I would like to see for the G5 are the following: Give the G5 a continuous flow feature so you can use a oxygen mask. And work with Medicare to make the extended battery part of the original Medicare package. A must for traveling and site seeing. It's a pain to have to interrupt vacation activities to charge the small battery.
