The sales person was very attentive before I bought the device but once I purchased it, never heard from him/ He told me when I received my machine to fully charge it and not to use it until I called him first--which I did call him and he never returned my phone call. Why tell someone that and not follow through!

After recent lung surgery I have been placed on oxygen. Having many Dr. appts it became a problem trying to cart around a large tank so I could breathe. This has allowed for easier visits to the Dr. etc as my wife and I are in our 70's and it was just tooooo cumbersome to have her cart the tank while I was in wheel chair. This has become our better way to travel etc.

The unit is fabulous over the refillable tanks that I had been using. It's given me freedom of movement -- I can go anywhere without hassle. The flow system works very well, better than the continuous flow I had been using. If I find myself using more or less energy, I can raise or lower the oxygen level with the push of an easily accessible button. It's just great, with the exception of one thing that lowered my rating from 5+ stars to 4 -- Every four to five seconds the unit makes a knocking noise -- Thunk THUNK! It's not so loud that it interferes with most uses. I can barely hear it if the air conditioner is running or I'm watching a TV program with background music. However, it is loud enough to irritate you and people surrounding you in a quiet environment, such as theater, small discussion group (book club good-bye), serious bridge game, church, and the like. It also drives me crazy when I'm having insomnia. I've asked the company if there is any way to muffle it, but haven't heard back. The unit is great except for its lack of suitability in quiet environments.

The machine is quite noisy. It is loud enough that I will not be able to use it when I attend concerts, church, meetings, etc. the noise level of the machine will disturb nearby people. It is lightweight, east to operate and has a lot of good features but the noise level is quite disappointing.

Huge improvement over the old fashioned portable tanks where the design hasn't apparently changed much since the War of 1812. I'm sort of on the borderline between needing continuous flow and being able to use a Pulse flow if I'm up and moving around and being physically active, but the Inogen 5 has high enough settings to work. And before, I was limited to just a few hours away from home carrying the two largest sized tanks you could wear with a shoulder carrier with one as a spare to switch out to. Now, I can plug the car adapter in and charge the unit as I'm using it while driving, or plug it into a wall outlet at my destination.... and no more time limitations It's quiet and lightweight and has given me my freedom to plan a trip away from home that lasts longer than just a couple of hours (including transportation time). Best decision I ever made!

i love the size and the quality of the machine. the one thing i needed to get used to was that it only gave me oxygen when i needed it. not constant like the big machine i have for nighttime

I love you my Inogen concentrator. The only problem I have is I wish the batteries lasted longer. My doctor has increased my oxygen to three from two. So the batteries don’t last as long. It is much more convenient to carry.

My unit was a lifesaver! I'm on 2 liters of oxygen, needed to make a trip across country. Not knowing where I would be able to refill my portable tanks. Causing high anxiety. With my new Inogen unit it was not an issue. I am still learning what it will do. A 4 ratimg is due to the cost.
