Loved my initial contact and working with James. Not so much with 24/7 emergency representative Jennec(?). Called 10/26/19 because my Inogen making very loud noise, she asked to listen and determined I needed a replacement unit. She said a replacement would be shipped to me within 24-48 hours. I doubled checked with her I would have the replacement in that time period of 24-48 hours and was assured I would. Called back to 10/27 finally spoke to someone after 3 tries to be told nothing ships on the weekend. I need this to continue working! So now I have to miss up to 2 days of work because of misinformation. I am to say the least not happy at all.

Mom purchased this because it is light weight. Great for everyday use to run errands or go out for dinner. We took the Inogen On on a cruise vacation. The first night we stayed at a hotel and the machine beeped almost all night. Finally at 4am we called customer service and was transferred to the troubleshooting Dept. Since we were traveling they were very helpful and told us to reset the machine (take out battery and unplug for 60 seconds) this worked fine. Some of the other issues we had were charging 2 batteries (it would be great if they made a charger for it) and using it at the same time. It charges faster on a lower setting, and takes hours to charge. We carried the charger with us and plugged in when ever possible. We should have also taken the car charger as we were running out of battery on our way back home from the airport. Even though the airplane had outlets by each seat, they didn’t really work, nor did the outlets at the airport. We thought of returning it, but because this was our first vacation with the Inogen One, it was more of a trial and error situation. Next time we will be more prepared with maybe an extra battery. Also the higher the setting the shorter the battery life. So the 5 hour battery is only 5 hours on setting 1, more like 2 1/2 to 3 hours on 2. And shorter on 3

You advertise incorrectly!! The battery you show is a two hours battery!! In order to go anywhere you need the large Heavy battery. Be honest!

**EDIT: THEY DID SEND HIM THE NEW DEVICE RIGHT AWAY. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DID TELL HIM THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE BATTERIES WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION AND THEY WOULD BE SHIPPED BY THE FOLLOWING MONDAY SO HE SAID TO CHANGE THE DELIVERY ADDRESS TO OUR VACATION ADDRESS AND HE TOLD THEM HE WOULD BE HEADING BACK HOME ON WEDNESDAY MORNING. THEY ASSURED HIM THAT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM. WHEN HE GOT HIS CONFIRMATION, IT SAID DELIVERY WOULD BE THURSDAY (WHEN WE WERE BACK HOME). WHEN HE TOLD THEM OF THE CHANGE THEY JUST SAID NOT TO HAVE SOMEONE SIGN FOR IT. A BIT FRUSTRATING FOR SURE, BUT I CAN TAKE BACK MOST OF WHAT WAS SAID BELOW.*** It's too bad there is not a 0 stars option. My father purchased this device and it came BROKEN. It is the portable device that is supposed to last an average of about 13 hours. Instead, it is not even giving him the level of oxygen he needs (level 4 should be good at rest, but definitely is not), but it also is only lasting a couple of hours at most. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. He has called (on Saturday) to talk to a customer service rep and they said he called the wrong number and then told him that "sometimes customer service people come in on the weekends" SERIOUSLY? This is a life and death situation people! We are about to travel this week, which is the reason he purchased this for thousands of dollars in the first place, and now we are freaking out if he will run out of oxygen. This is supposed to improve quality of life. Instead it is making it incredibly stressful because he cannot trust the device and nobody gets back to him. Reading the other reviews makes me even more nervous as it sounds like your customer service and shipping is basically nonexistent. Get it together, Inogen. You've got a lot of work to do.

The machine is great. The problem I have is with battery life. Using 3 litres deletes the battery is very short time. Otherwise I am bleased with the unit and have enjoyed showing and discussing it with many strangers.

The Inogen machine has been very good to help get around much easier. But one battery seems like it cannot hold a charge. I called and customer service told me to continue to charge it and see if it will hold a charge. It doesn't. I wish they would have sent a new one to me.

I love the machine as it has allowed me to enjoy getting out and about as i did prior to developing lung problems; however.....Not thrilled though when after 10 months and maybe 20 hours of use, got a beep to replace the columns. Machine completely shut down and would not restart when this happened and I happened to be out in a store, so that was problematic. Battery doesn't last as long as they indicate. When my battery is fully charged, it will tell me i have about 1.75 hours (glad I'm not on 3 lpm or i probably wouldn't get an hour out of it). Customer service is pleasant, however, they will not ship the new columns out overnight even after i indicated that the machine completely shut down and would not restart. Have to wait 3 to 5 business days. Obviously their customer service department is not oxygen dependent. Like i said, love the convenience factor; however, don't love everything about it or the company.

I love my Inogen but, what they don't tell you up front is that the portable unit only operates on a pulse setting, not a continuous flow of air. Maybe for most this is manageable, but for my stage of COPD I need constant air, like the nonportable unit I have from Inogen. When I was in rehab using their air tank equipment with constant air flow my SPO2 was improved by 9, that is the difference between living and struggling. I will not go back to an air tank, but want Inogen to develop a constant flow portable air device.
