The unit is easy to operate and fairly quite but don't care much for the pulse system,does not put out enough for me. Even on high I still have to use extra oxygen to get what I need. My employer has the G5 but I am not sure because of the pulse system. The battery does not last long enough on high so when I go visit family I always make sure I have extra bottles of oxygen to get me by. When my oxygen gets low I have to set for a time to let it catch up. I don't walk fast either or very far.

Too noisy and disrupts my sleep

My machine quits producing oxygen after running for first couple minutes and I have to turn it off and wait a little bit to turn back on. I have the g3 Inogen. This is the third one I have had. There was a recall on the second one and it seems this one is doing the same as the recalled one only with the 5 hr battery now. It does not produce a continuation flow either like the last one I had which I really need the continual flow. I have been meaning to call and report this problem.

If it wasn't for Inogen I probably would have been hospitalized more often- Having the unit available to me in my home is actually a life saver- However, as I do not use or need to use the unit regularly, I am not used to the Noise it makes when compressing. This also deters me from using in public as it draws unwanted attention- The compressor is extremely loud - Please try to improve the sound level in your future models.

Still have breathing problems when actively engaged.

Have had to have my machine replaced 2 times since I bought it. Scares me to think my 1 year warranty is about up. What happens then. I don't use my machine much because I don't get out very often so it worries me that I had trouble before.

I am currently waiting on my 3rd replacement g5 unit.Warranty coverage is great, but the g5 unit has not proven reliable. My original unit quit functioning in November, while I was out of the country. Had to borrow an oxygen tank from the local dive shop.This will be my 4th g5. I had a g3 which functioned great, until it fell off a table. Hopefully this g5, which is en route, will function better

Inogen G5 Unit overheats easily when worn with backpack. Beeping is very annoying If unit gets a slight bump during normal use it jars the battery slightly and turns off the unit The system holding the battery to the bottom of the unit is not very secure The backpack is very cheaply made. Just with normal wear the mesh is coming apart making it a possibility that the unit will fall out. I have had to reinforce mesh several times with needle and thread
