The unit works but I don’t like the weight with a double battery and I don’t like how hot it runs. I set it down to get it away from the heat.

The unit Inogen 5 and I don't feel like I get the right amount of oxygen I get isn't right. I also purchased the bag to carry the unit in that inogen recommended and it appears to get the unit hot

I only use my G4 to go out for shopping, dinner and other events. I recently went out of the country and my Large Battery only lasted 2 hours at a time! I can not tell you how helpless this was on vacation and inconvenient as we were constantly changing and charging the 2 Large batteries we purchased that were sold as lasting 5 hours! With that being said I am only on oxygen level of 2! If the case is you can only be on level 1 to get up to 5 hours use it should be told in the description. I probably would not have purchased the equipment I did had I have known. I was at first complimenting the Inogen and encouraging people who would ask about my experience with the product. Of course I had not been on a vacation or been out of the house for 5 hours or even close. At this point I would have to tell people NO to keep what your insurance pays for. I willingly paid $4000.00 for all the equipment I purchased because at the time I was hoping at sometime in the future to go on vacation or a couple of long weekends. I am sorry to say I am not very happy and feel foolish that I purchased any of the Inogen products. I also purchased the equipment to use at night with my CPAP. It is just hard for me to fathom that I am not able to use this product as I thoroughly had list of questions concerning all the freedom it allowed you. A 5 hour use of the battery is NOT possible!

Having used an ultra-quiet G2 for several years, l was disappointed to find the G5 so noisy (and, I feel, with less pump pressure). Several months ago, I wrote a letter to the CEO but did not receive a reply (as a long time Inogen customer who has tooted their horn for years, I should have gotten some sort of acknowledgement). I am very happy with the weight and size of the G5, compared with the G2. But it is noisy so I can’t use it when at several venues (movies, church, etc.).

The basic Inogen has been fine. But unfortunately in the wake of a new medical issue Inogen has no means of helping us with oxygen. After paying a hefty price for the unit and additional supplies we are very disappointed. How could we have known that this change would impact our oxygen needs, and to find out like I said that they do not have a way to make my Inogen work for me now. So buyer beware investigate your purchase with a fine tooth comb.

The batteries (2) 93.6.Wh only last about 6.5 hrs when fully charged at a #2 setting. The nasal cannula hose coming from the concentrator to the nose crimps at the point that it come from the concentrator that it cuts off some of the air flow, a different design should be considered.

Inogen makes everything more accessible for me, however it is so heavy that I have a backache when I use it.
