The Inogen machine is wonderful and allowed me to get back on my feet. I only need it on occasion now, but my pulmonologist always wants to take it on trips. The machine was only about a year and a half when I tried to charge my double battery without success so I used the single battery. I called to see about a replacement and 3 times was told I had a defective battery after they had me do a check on it. The batteries are supposed to last 3 to 7 years. They told me the warranty is only for one year and I need to purchase a new battery for $600. I just paid out of pocket, directly ordering from them in 2022 for approximately $3500. No way will I pay $600 for a battery that should last 3 to 7 years but may do this again. It doesn't make sense they can't prorate it like they do with a car battery.

Purchased a new unit. It malfunctioned and I was sent a 4 year old refurbished unit as a replacement and now Inogen will not repurchase this unit. I am left with a unit that I cannot sell due to the manufacture date as the serial number. They just keep repeating the phrase “company policy “. Not customer care or concern.

I have been waiting since September 13 for a refund on a duplicate item purchased directly from Inogen and I have yet to received the amount owed to me. If you can get through to customer service, I get the same story that the refund is on its way. As of today, 10/25/23, I have not received my refund. I would not recommend purchasing directly from Inogen, but locate a dealer close to your location.

I received a reply from giving a negative review which said to call Customer Service. Gentleman was very nice and said he would replace the machine needing "service." I needed the machine sent to me for my Alzheimer mother in AL because she is unable to do an exchange. He said take the new machine and exchange when I went to see mom and call UPS when I have the old machine. UPS would not leave machine today without an exchange. I called Customer Service, waited for an answer for 20 minutes and hung up.

No stars. My mom paid Inogen $450.00 to have G5 concentrator repaid and a 1 year warranty. Her machine was not charging. We sent the unit with the batteries and the car charger. Shipping weight was 6.77 lbs. they returned the unit 4.5 lbs. they did not return the double battery, retails for $650.00, or the car charger. We of course called. Was told they said not to send the battery or accessories. They said they have a recording of the phone call stating that. I asked for a copy of that, I was told they can’t send it to me. We asked what was repaired on the unit, they said they didn’t know. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Have been waiting 5 days for a return call. When I call and ask for a supervisor they are never available. They’ve stolen the double battery and the car charger.

Batteries lose charge immediately overnight. While driving in my air conditioned car my unit started blasting a loud alarm that made me pull over to see what the problem was. All it said was HOT! Being alone I had to shut the unit off. I was driving quite far from home and waited a good 15 minutes before turning it back on. Not feeling safe at all. Same thing occurred the next day. I guess this machine doesn't like hot weather. Before anyone purchases this device be aware that it is much heavier than demonstrated. Weight is increased greatly due to the much needed battery attached to the unit. So I can forget walking a dog, playing golf or whatever those commercials display. This machine is UNRELIABLY BAD. Shop elsewhere. Wish I did and I am NOT a SENIOR just feeling TAKEN by this Company. On hold for 10 minutes for customer service - only for them denying that this piece of expensive trash was not theirs. I will try calling later and hopefully it will be resolved to my satisfaction. Otherwise, I will make a BBB complaint.

I have been with Inogen for over a year and was happy with the product and customer support. Don’t know what happened but things have changed. I ordered supplies and was told that I was overdue so they were sending me a complete set 50ft & 20ft tubing and connectors and granules. I never received it after a week I was told it never went out so they they would overnight it 5 days later no order. I have called multiple time and after explaining myself I as put on hold after waiting 10 to 15 minutes I would be switched to the survey recording THAT IS THE PHONE NUMBER I'VE BEEN CALLING 6 TIMES IN 1 DAY THEY PUT ME ON HOLD AND NEVER RETURN
